She also thought that the vampire girl was cheating on the vampire guy with Scary Godmother, and that Skully was in an intense relationship with the wolf. It was... a time.

Here, so you feel less old- I was a Jill Thompson fan a while before the Scary Godmother cartoon came out. I was happy her work was getting animated and would have more recognition. At first I really didn't like the style, but I read she chose to have it different from the comics and had a lot of input in it, so I respected that. She continues to make great stuff! And a lot of her work isn't kid-centric. Although Beasts of Burden could fool you at first.

Idk if anyone else has commented this, but I think the eyes thing is because Hannah is wide eyed and child like, she hasn't had the magic of the world taken away from her, where as the big kids have "grown up" and don't see the world she does, like in the sequel how she always sees the bright side. I always thought it was clever how they did that. And the monsters too have the full eyes, because they see the magic as well

Well, it works with Saber's Toon because of the glasses which frame the eyes and can be used to create eye expressions.

@@MarcMarioMaster That's what I initially thought, but then I purposefully kept an eye on that and he just moves his pupils and eyebrows. So it's the same as the older kids, just in a more confined space to allow the emotions of his brows to come across better.

@@timwoods2852 Yeah, the glasses seem to mostly be static butwhen drawing eyes, to some it seems to be a bit off to have no outlines of what might be the iris. I guess that's what the frame of the glasses ishis personal outline for the iris. There are of course a bunch of different styles and some may not find any issue with the more bead-like eyes. I can for example say that I always found it unnerving to give a toy regular buttons as eyes (like the scary folks in Coraline where I feel though that it's meant to unnerve you

I used to like TTG but when I saw they’re second booty scooty episode and as a 13 year old then that just made me cringe and go like “just look at my iPad and I can’t see it” which I began wondering if CN is only allowing it on the air just for either A. I think the pupil-eyes on the big kids are meant to be a stylistic choice that sets them apart from Hannah. It’s also got a bit of “creep” factor, like the button eyes in Coraline.

I remember when this came out when I was a teenager and my brother was little (10 year age gap) and we used to watch it every Halloween together. And i went and bought them this year on DVD from Amazon for the tradition to carry over to my daughter and she LOVES them ❤🎃

really enjoyed this so much!! it was really nice to learn more about one of my favorite childhood movies that i always LOVED to see every halloween. i really gotta get my hands on those comic books tho cause concept art is *chef's kiss* also i feel like scary godmother had less going for her then she does in the comics as you said due to the direction seeming to be more so on the OTHER characters but it would of been nice to see more of her definitely, but i feel like this is way they did that since she was just mainly trying to help hannah get over her fear of monsters and befriend them

I Knew I remembered these being good! On another note, I would like to recommend a series for you to review, the anime "Seton Academy". It is about a school of anthropomorphic animal people, and the main character, Jin, a human, gets wrapped up in all the craziness though he doesn't like animals. It's worth a look.

Though that being said I recognized her voice right away, and this is coming from someone who only seen bits and pieces of the first movie and just the last bit of the second. Like Saber I too wasn't too interested because of the character design, but I later gave it a chance and watched the whole first movie and enjoyed it. Now I need to watch the second movie from Saberspark's link.

Wait didn't Jill Thompson work on Beasts of Burden?! Those are legit some of my favourite horror comics of all time! Looking through her watercolour comic art is just such a treat for the eyes, I can very much recommend the series. There's a spinoff not illustrated by her (but still a visual feast) called Wise Dogs and Eldritch Men, too. Not recommended if you can't handle animal death though

I loved Scary Godmother growing up and still watch it on Halloween! My sister and I also used to rent this vhs tape every Halloween when we were kids, but no one else knew what we were talking about when we talked about it. It was called The Halloween Tree. I recommend it! I think it was a tv only movie from CN or a straight to vhs movie, so maybe that’s why it wasn’t well known.

god i may not have read (or known about) the comics as a kid but i sure love them now as an adult. there's one plot where orson goes to vampire summer camp but the head vampire in charge uses them for slave labor and has killed at least one vampire child and disfigured his sister by PUSHING HER FACE OUT INTO SUNLIGHT.
