I use carbonizer turrets. Watching the laser spiders zip around at mach speed incinerating everything to death is hilarious and a great antidote to bungus addiction.

REX was my first main. I really sucked with everyone else and engineer was pretty boring. REX came out and I loved him to death, accidentally killing myself, and when acrid came out I loved him as well. Try harder monsoon with huntress and mercenary when I got better but I still prefer playing REX and acrid.
@@justawaffle4630 I actually like rex a lot. I don't get the hate. Free healing, rapidfire m2 that you can cancel your m1 with, and he scales really well with just about everything.
Ah, but now you can slaughter your team mates as Mercenary, with this one simple build! Stack Puritys to get your R down to .5 sec cooldown (It may be wise to also grab enough Purity to get your SHIFT skill down to 1 or .5 sec cooldown as well). Next, start grabbing shaped glass, hp doesn't matter if you can just stay invulnerable by chaining your R skill into itself. Then, when your party least expects it. . . Grab teh urn and watch as your friends all disappear! Both from the game and your friends list!
It's chill as shit, I've just finished playing for 7 hours with a dude that went "eh why not" On discord, we drank beer, we chatted about life, we became friends. All the while playing chill music in the background. Extremely comfy community
I’m a mult-t main and this is completely inaccurate post 1.0. I run double scrap launchers with the milky chrysalis to rain death from above and show arti mains who is boss.
I play Mul-T with Artifact of Command and man is it something else to go on Sky Meadow on stage 30 with 24 charges of rocket launcher AND lightning bolt, and the overloading worm on the other side of the map dies before it can even arc over to where I've spawned.
I played a modded run as MUL-T with my friends and they gave me all their movement speed buff items, crowbars, and AP-rounds with the _Yeet!_ mod at the very end. Mithrix literally became roadkill with the shift skill. It was a sight to behold.

@@razzyrazberries rex is easily my most played survivor, I really don't think he's that hard to play. Your healing is insane. He has a debuff built into his attack, so it makes getting death mark up SUPER easy. Honestly surprised they didn't nerf him in the 1.0 update

I play loader frequently, because fist go brr, fist go fast, my damage is going to widen your ass. You can't run, not even hide, your healthbar will disappear, when I let fly.
Modding is definitely good for a game. Having people love the game enough that they start adding stuff to the game themselves is a honor any game developer should be proud of.

@@grubby.mp4 Yeah, unfortunately, it's hard to find good candle wax. A large majority of the tasty ones are all sold out due to quarantine, but I've had a pretty big stockpile of em' for situations like this. I'm running low, but they've lasted me a good while. Definitely worth it in the long run.
He's overpowered once you unlock the hacking beacon and I adore him. Cool outfit, laser shotgun/rifle combo, orbital strikes, arguably better healing than bungus Engi if you're smart and leave the healing beacon until the boss, that wonderful little drone that no-sells enemy projectiles and FREE. RED. ITEMS (as long as you have hacking unlocked). I don't care if Hopoo nerf him in the coming weeks, he's so damn good.
200+ hours in this game, Loader main here. I'd almost say Loader mains are the two guys talking, one guy going "NOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST TRAVEL HALF THE MAP IN A SINGLE SWING AND PUNCH! YOU NEED TO PACE YOURSELF" and meanwhile Loader is just going "Hehehe big punch go fast"
as someone who played a lot of the first game but never really knew about the community it makes me happy to see that the community has grown so well :)
I want to like captain more but really the only interesting stand-outs are the beacons and unless I'm looking at them wrong, only 1 or 2 are really useful. He's so cool as a design, though.
The amount of times I Q'd up for a Quick Game, and found a group of helpful, and eager players are just... Uncountable. Honestly I walked in not knowing anything, but found players randomly who I couldn't even talk to besides the in-game callout system, and they straight up showed me items, and tricks I never knew existed, or thought to use in combination.
Although not a main I do play commando a lot simply for the fact I was trying to get his skin. Now that I finally have his skin I may main enforcer or miner when they eventually come out, for now though I quite like captain. Not because he is new but because I like his unique power house/support role. He is a swiss army knife in terms of utility and utility is something I always appreciate in games :3.
I am an Engineer main, and I have to disagree! I have to be awake to place down my turret! So I am partially awake while I play, I just am not usually tabbed in! Geez
today was my first time getting griefed on multiplayer, I saved up for shopkeeper and traded for a red, and engineer main takes it before i can walk to it. I didn't lash out but I felt like I wasted the last 15 minutes and there was nothing I could do. feelsbadman.

@@oddiemefav1363 all I've heard since I left the community a year or two back is that the devs stopped being as in touch with the community. They became very petty not taking advice from bigger names in the community If they were criticized they would attempt to distance themselves from many of said critics by removing them from their partner program(which having checked for this response was closed recently) I may be wrong about all of this but feel free to correct me if that's the case I dropped the game when it started to become increasingly more grindy with updates such as the plains of eidolon
I played the first game for almost 900 hours. It is to this day my most played game on steam. It got me through middle and high school. I'm so glad that the risk of rain fandom has grown in such a positive way
I thought this video was pretty good. I was just planning on buying the game as soon as I had money because my friends have already been playing this game for over a year. Now all of a sudden right when I'm about to buy the game the game releases so good timing I guess. This video WAS great, until I heard the outer wilds music for about 1.5 seconds, now I think this video is INCREDIBLE
I've only met like 2 toxic people and it was folk who were stupid selfish and kept stealing everyones items just so they could boss the run. If you wanna do that, play alone! I LOVE the community. Most folk are really lovely and we all just wanna work together and tag items for each other n stuff.
You always have fun when play this game. Hence why community is generally nice. This game is closest to traditional games. It respect it's players' time, want very little back and gives a lot.
I actually just got this game on switch like two weeks ago and I’m already in love with it, I can’t believe I haven’t looked into the community. Probably just PTSD from loving undertale
It's funny, when I played the game, I got the first one on the switch and instantly fell in love with it. I bought the second one out of love for the first game, and so when it got out of early access I had to get the game for myself, and after unlocking every character within the first four days (with the captain being the hardest) I managed to find away the enjoy and get my friends into aying the madness that is risk of rain 2
"Loader players are what Huntress players wish they were." I don't know whether that was a compliment or an insult. But yeah Loader is the ultimate risk/reward character. You take risks but often reap high rewards.
As a (sort of well known) member of the official server I can tell you that you are extremely accurate. There are many of us that are helpful and polite while there are others that are new that just scream at any member who disagrees with their opinions. I'm one of those people that are almost a mix between those two (besides the screaming part). Although our memes arent quite amusing some of them are pretty well made. I'm glad you made a video on this. You have no idea how many people think we are just a normal, toxic community. I hope you enjoy this game as much as the rest of us do. Keep up the great work!
A community similar to this would be Binding of Isaac, a very welcoming community with massive support from the developers, the next update to the game is gonna be a player made mod pack being reworked and ported into the actual game
man the only war i remember of this comunity happened when they announce the new character for the full realease. Damn. Sniper team was winning until the army of chef and bandit (and some guys from miner) changed team to the new survivors. In fact i love the captain FUCKING BOOMSTICK, but 3d sniper to make 360 in RoR seems funny. However if you read the log of de void reavers, you can think who wrote it.

This is a really cool project to try to showcase communities in a geniune light to see how they actually are. I know it is really hard to demonstrate a whole aspects of the community, but i do find it a bit sad you completely excluded the lore-nuts of the game. They also matter, you know?
