As a Malaysian living in Australia, I miss Malaysia so much-the friendly environment, the vibes. I couldn’t agree more with most of the comments here. Don't get sensationalized by the title. Malaysians don't love foreigners. Malaysians are hospitable and accepting of outsiders due to the dynamics and kindness of it's culture. But if you think you can be disrespectful and condescending towards the Malaysian people then you'd be badly mistaken. Because Malaysians do not tolerate bad behavior like it's neighbours do.

Although the USA is the most hated nation on earth because of its EVIL foreign policy towards Palestine which we think so barbaric and very very UNFAIR, but we love the USA citizens. We, Malaysians know that only the BAD POLITICIANS or the so-called Zionist-Globalists are evils, but majority of the USA citizens are peace-loving people. That is why we needed to prevent more MHM since it's slowly bleeding us locally. Higher housing price since foreigners can buy it. For them it's dirt cheap for us it's expensive. Our current food price is high due to at least 5 to 7 millions foreigners which creates huge demands more than what we can produce. Hence for tourists our price is cheap which bleeds us more. We can't control price hike via hartal or boycott since foreigners keep buying it. That is why housing and food price increase since we have millions tourists whom spend money without thinking about local people.

Malaysia is very selective in allowing long term residence to foreigners. The locals alway wishes Malaysia to be under-rated as they fear the perils of overtourism. Most Malaysians are conservative , well educated, religious, cultured , family oriented , have worldview and law abiding. Disrespecting foreigners are scorned at.😊
