How interesting I was listening to a talk about exercise and stomping..for bone health…seems the impact makes us put down strong bones…I’ve over simplified it..but it’s fascinating…

I really want to do weight bearing excercises for my bones but I have problems with my weak joints. So I feel very insecure how to start. I don’t want to go to a gym where some young girl shows me what to do. They have no idea how it is when you are older and everything is more difficult. Maybe you could do a video on that topic?
@cavelleardiel
@cavelleardiel 11 месяцев назад
Look up joint mobility exercises. Pilates movements are good as well. Lots of these videos are on youtube. Good Luck!

Hi Regina Yes, I know what you mean about gyms but there are some that can be really supportive, maybe check your local area first. However, RU-vid exercises is a really good idea and means you can do them when you have time and the energy, just look up exercises for weak joints and you should find plenty. Best Wishes Eileen

I’d rather exercise at home. There are lots of you tube videos but who is doing really good videos for the elderly? Pilates is not weightlifting.

Thank you for this vital information. Would Vitamin D-K2 supplements be useful to take? I haven't read but heard about a study where a combo of vitamin D and K2 helped remove arterial plaque and shift the calcium component to the bones
@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk 11 месяцев назад
Yes, it's worth taking, there's more research emerging that this is another component that's important. Lots of bone supplements contain some now. Best Wishes Eileen

I have osteoporosis but due to a histamine intolerance, there are so few foods I can eat to get enough calcium and supplements cause acid reflux (although thankfully I can tolerate Vit D) I'm on HRT and exercise regularly but I'm kind of at a loss as what else I can do.
@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk 11 месяцев назад
I'm not sure if it would be suitable for you, but a company called Salus Haus do a gentle calcium tonic which is usually well tolerated so maybe worth checking out. Otherwise you may find it helpful to see a Nutritional Therapist; they can formulate a personalised treatment plan for you with support. If you're in the UK you can find local ones here www.BANT.org.uk Best Wishes Eileen

Hi there, I am not a doctor and cannot help with inflamed thyroid issues, I would suggest booking an appointment with your doctor and for natural support you could book an appointment with a naturopath or herbalist. Best of luck!

Hello Eileen, chin pimples flaring up is a cause of acute worry .will b grateful if you could suggest ,line of medication.
@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk 11 месяцев назад
Hi Leena Spots on the chin often indicate slow elimination (do you get a bit of constipation, bloating or sluggish bowels?) If so, you may find a general probiotic can be helpful. Remember to drink lots of plain water and increase your fibre foods, you may even find a small glass of pure prune juice can help too. Best Wishes Eileen
