Thank you, I have a neutered male and not spayed female. I thought it was ok with only the male spayed. They where good friends and litter trained but this month they start chasing and humping each other and I could not sleep. I guess I have to call the vet and make an appointment. Now I have the female in a puppy pen so they can relax. The female is less destructive and do not make a lot of noise so it is better for her to be caged and the male free in my apartment.

Good that you are making an appointment for the female ☺️ when she is spayed they will be good friend again without any stress and fighting! And then they can both free roam in your apartment :) good luck!

My baby boy named Bonny is getting castrated this morning...just left him before heading to the office and I am sooo worried... 😢 So watched this video in order to feel reassured. I rescued Bonny 1 month ago he was abandoned and found outside an abandoned home. He is a Japanese breed and very fragile he suffers from anxiety and fear of abandonment. I am castrating my baby boy because I already have a Lionhead baby girl of 6 years of age and I want to reunite them in one home without the risk of finding my girl pregnant. I didn't neutered my girl because she has been gravely sick twice and the vet said it would be life threatening for her to get the surgery done...so I must castrate Bonny instead. The vet said he is young and strong enough... He refused to eat any food in the car while I was driving to the vet and he actually screamed sooo loud when the vet took him out of his transporting bag...was heart breaking... 😢💔 He is 1 year old so he is pretty young but I am heartbroken and soooo worried for my baby... 😔

My 3 boys went through them very well also the aftervare had been easy. My girls.. a whole different world. Out of 6 I lost 2 due to the problems like GI Stasis or Bloat afterwards.. the other 4 have been not easy the first 2 days... means syringe feeding, looking 24/7 after them due to the 2 girls I lost before... But still I would always spay/neuter my bunnies ... most ppl are shocked my girls are but without I could not keep them together, they fought like brutal monsters... besides I gave them the chance for a longer healthy life! The costs for 2 girls... nearly 500€ with aftercare visits at the vet. 2 boys around 200€.

@@meinekids for female bunnies it’s so much more expensive! For Momo it also took much longer to recover from the surgery. So sad that you lost 2 of them :( luckily the others are doing fine! What are their names? 😍

I watched a video about aftercare and said that they have to be quarantined the first day he was sleepy but the second day he kept moving the NIC grids to get out. How long are they supposed to be quarantined for?

It depends on the bunny, but mine also started pulling the grids and he was already very lively and himself. So I just let him out after one day :) just make sure that he does not jump or run to much etc.

Have you noticed any changes in his personality since the surgery? How is litterbox training going?

The difference I noticed is that he is totally litterbox trained now and has no issues when I move his litterbox and he is a bit more relax and less destroying my furniture! So I only have positive things to say about it. My other bunny is also spayed and she is also totally litterbox trained now :)

@@thehoneybunnyhouse6053 That’s great. My 5 month old bun is scheduled to be neutered tomorrow morning. I’m super nervous about it. He’s a mini lionhead currently weighing 2 1/2lbs. I just want him to be ok. I’m going through with this so he can live long and healthy as well as for litterbox training. He was great about using his littlerbox when he was younger but once he hit maturity he started pooping & peeing everywhere. I’m also hoping this helps with being able to handle him better while grooming.

@@MahoganyBelle it will be fine! The recovery for male bunnies is usually really fast! I was also very nervous and scared leaving my baby at the vet but afterwards he was already totally fine. Just a little tired. Just make sure to watch him and that he eats and drinks enough. Good luck!

@@thehoneybunnyhouse6053 The surgery went well. I think my anxiety was much higher than his...😂 It took him some time but he’s finally eating. I’m super happy about that!!!
