Background of this channel: Nick and Chelsea are a 21 year old married couple living in Georgia. They live with their sweet golden retriever pup Wally. Chelsea has made videos on this channel for years starting in the beauty world and now venturing into the lifestyle/advice/family world. They both spend most of their time writing, capturing photos, and planning content around the issues that young adults face. They both have a podcast as well that calls out issues in culture, real life struggles, and fun times most of us go through like getting married or graduating school! I always knew I would date someone i would want to marry. I had tried online dating, granted it has it's difficulties, however, I've found my guy. Yes i have personal struggles but I can't help but think he was made for me. We both have an awful sense of humour, love the same music and have the same aspirations. I love him so much and he is my person. I'm 19, he's the first proper date I've been on. He's my first boyfriend. My first love. My only love. It's difficult don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't change any of it. Trust me, if you are in the position where you wonder why its everyone else and not you, your time will come! Trust me

I’m currently in a situation where I more than likely am going to end a relationship with someone I love. Literally every bullet point I feel I haven’t gotten from him in the year we’ve been together. Lately he’s become what he said he’d never be and has been basically objectifying me and I’m not having it at all. Just asking for prayers right now as I figure out what to say to him. I truly thought he knew I wanted a God centered relationship and he doesn’t necessarily want anymore.

I really appreciate this video! I was lead to come back to this channel and it was at the perfect time! Dating for purpose really stood out for me, since I'm eighteen and I get asked how I've never had a boyfriend yet. thank you for making this because i feel like people (saying people i also mean me) tend to look at someone’s actual “looks” rather than their characteristics and qualities! you guys are really an inspiration to me and are so loving towards one another... i really do agree with Nick on the subject of “dating for fun”! “dating for fun” is going to cause you more heartbreak in the long run because your heart is falling for different people and by the time you meet “the one”- are you gonna be able to trust that person with your heart after all the heartbreaks you’ve been through. my parents have set rules to where we aren’t allowed to date til we are 18, and i totally agree with them! save your heart! “date with the intentions to marry!” love you chelsea and nick!!❤️❤️

I finally got engaged!! And yes, your future partner has to have the same intentions, goals in life, beliefs... I wouldn't date anyone who doesn't have these things... it would be a 'waste' of time and energy. Took years and bad experiences but I finally found the one :D Love watching your videos btw!!

I agree! I married my first boyfriend when I was 22. We will celebrate our 10th anniversary next week! My parents didn’t have any relationships before getting together either. I believe it’s the best way to do it but some effort is required before jumping into a relationship with that person. We were friends first and we talked through everything before deciding to move forward with a relationship and then marriage.

I did a list of qualities too a long time ago when I was really young. But it's nothing compared to that 😂 mine is more like, sense of humor, confidence, same values, Catholic,nice, puts myself needs before himself. Brings me closer to God and my friends and family. Wants kids. Who knows if it will work lol. I've also had dreams of my future husband. Like I've had dreams of what his hair color looks like what the estimated hair color is.

As far as the topic of relationships goes, do you have any advice for loneliness or doubt when being single? Often times I find myself thinking things like “No guy wants me, I’m not good enough” or “What guy would want me?” or I’m never going to find a husband.” That sort of thing. I’m a Christian who is waiting until marriage, so I’m all ears for any advice you have.

Back in 1974, I met a girl that was drop dead gorgeous and started dating. several months later we became engaged. we both were very happy with each other for a couple of months when everything started going sour. One evening I went to pick her up to go out she became hostile verbally. I then decided then to break off our engagement in which she acted like she didn't care. At the time we were both living in Oregon, I now live in Texas and her in Washington.After I moved to Texas I have been married twice and failed And now after 46 yrs. I have found the girl I was engaged to in '74, We talk on FB, phone, etc. In August, I plan a trip to Washington to see her again. She seems to be very excited about my trip. ...My question is...should I pursue a relationship with her again? or just be good friends?

Some of the bad luck she's had in the past years with other men has really changed her for the worse, but we're working through it. She's realizing that all the love that I had for her back in the day is still there for her.

@@ChelseaandNick Hi, thanks for answering. I can't really suggest in detail since it's up to you, but maybe to get to know you more as a couple in day to day life and relate. So, maybe weekly vlogs? Or if not vlogs then let's say going together grocery shopping while casually answering questions or sharing your thoughts but while doing things together. This way it's always sit down videos with very similar topics.
