One thing I wish you had touched on is the importance of SLEEP for GH! 70% of GH is released during sleep (peaking ~4 hrs into sleep) - so one way to inc GH is to get a good nights rest! Great video tho, thanks doc!
I'm 46 and I have made I.F. a lifestyle. It not sure about my hgh levels, but I feel I have more energy now, have a better physic and feel overall better than I did in my mid-30s. I workout on average 4 to 5 days a week. I do a body builder's routine, high volume low rest between sets. I weigh between 190-205lbs with a 34 inch waist at 6ft. Before I started I.F. I weighed 250lb- 42 inch waist. Better than any diet I have tried. Love it, changed my life.

I'm Intermittant fasting for 2 weeks. Eating once a day, at 6pm. I've lost: 1) 5 inches around my thighs!!! 2) 6 lbs. Virtually effortless!! Amazing how the fat just melts away!! Going to keep doing this until my Cellulite is gone and I fit into my Bikini 💪 Another thing I'm doing - that may help - I drink turmeric ginger tea. Order it online, but it's all natural. Fabulous information on growth hormone, Dr.Berg! I was excited to hear that high intensity training can increase it. I am 64 and pass everyone on the track while walking. This might be why my hair, skin, and nails were amazing when I had keto flu. I felt horrible but my skin was really moisturized and my hair and nails grew super fast. Once I felt better, my nails and skin went back to normal :(
@@98zei Its when your body is adjusting to the keto diet at first, trying to use fat instead of glucose for fuel, and you literally get flu-like symptoms. I was extremely tired for weeks and couldnt stay awake for more than 2 hours. Def not keto anymore.

Andrea; Well my original question wasn't directly related to me, but it came up in a conversation I had with someone that I was trying to tell him to stay away from carbs and start fasting. Then he asked me what about sex during fasting... However, your point is well taken and I HAVE been researching this subject recently to abstain from sex and retain my semen. The benefits will blow your mind, and I did find that in semen there are growth hormone and testosterone that a person loses and so as many, many other important elements. I had made a vow as of last night that I will do it for the minimum of 6 months. Thank you for your comment.
All of my digestive issues, which were frequent and sometimes very painful (and required anti-spasm medication), have not returned even once from the day I started IF (in my case, eating all calories within a 10 hour window). And I still eat the same foods. It's been two months. It's so easy to stick to. I highly recommend anyone giving it a try.
I think there's a little detail left out here. How long does one have to fast to raise GH, and how strict does the fast have to be? If one does a veg juice fast for 2 or 3 days does GH increase? What if you are doing bone broth during your fast. I keep hearing the 2000% increase number, but how long and strict of a fast is required for that.

I have seriousely high growth hormone now. I have lost 90 lbs in no time, and gained some but muscle mass. I have been fasting since September last year. I am on a soft dry fast now then a hard dry fast until Thursday afternoon.
Matt D. good news, expect a growth spurt very soon. I'm 16 and I stayed 5'9 for about 1 and a half years until recently. I started sleeping in more because of quarantine and sprinting and as much as my knees hurt right now, I'm 5'11 and a half and I have terrible peach fuzz. just make sure you're doing challenging workouts like lifting or sprints and sleep gooooood.

I had Insomnia for 6 months. Went to the beach one Summer day. Walked on the sand for 1 mile or so. Slept that night. Insomnia almost completely cured thereafter. (I'm thinking it stimulated the nerves on my feet) And oh yeah, avoided toxic people too.

I have read a lot of studies and watched some videos on how important it is to have high HGH because of its anti cancer and anti aging effects. So with fasting we can really increase HGH because we have no glucose intake. On the other hand we know that IGF 1 is kind of produced out of HGH but IGF1 is linked to cancer and aging because it tells our cells to divide and really promotes cell growth... but we all know that this massiv cell growth really promotes cancer growth... So why does some researchers claim that HGH is so important to stay "young" and healthy but on the other hand that it is important to keep IGF1 levels low! Please could you clarify this? Nick N I don’t think this is true at all, the body releases growth hormone whenever you sleep.. by that logic people who work nights would never get any growth hormone and that’s not true. Whenever you get deep REM sleep your body will release growth hormone

Nick N You can buy mugwort tea leaf on eBay , I buy nerada organics camomile tea bags from my supermarket here in Australia I’m 67 years old and only get up 0nce a night to pee or sometimes none at all. I am 50 years old and have diabetes and blood pressure under control. I exercise 3 days a week, but I cannot stimulate growth hormone and increase fat burning. My question is: Can I use the arginine hormone as a supplement?
There is a reason why the production of GH decreases at old age. I'm a medical student and I learned that as you become older, your cell repair mechanisms become weaker. We get mutations in our DNA (that can cause cancer) because of cell regeneration throughout our whole life, but at younger age our ability to repair these mutations is better, so you'll less likely get cancer. At higher age this ability decreases, so if you have high levels of growth hormone, cell replication will increase and the chance of developing cancer as well. They performed a research on this where they compared people over 75 years with a group that didn't have high levels of GH and a group that did and there was a higher incidence of cancer in the group that had higher levels. So this change in levels over the years happens for a reason.
When growing up I've seen kids that were getting growth hormone treatments which I think was illegal, not to mention I was pretty angry about it because it's unfair that some people get it but not others
