I live for the opening puns of your videos. I also love how worn the edges of your copy of the Saga of Hrolf Kraki is. That is one I still need to pick up but the more I learn the deeper the book pile gets.
I'm curious about your review of the movie, especially so regarding the many rituals within. Some aspects, in my mind, were exaggerated thanks to the telling of Christians. But perhaps I'm mistaken.
I will have to say from the trailer o didn’t see Berserkers but I did see Úlfhéðnar - wolf warriors Odin’s chosen warriors. Plus nothing from the trailer scream to me “we used these sagas for inspiration” i see the music video of “Wolf on my heart” by Heidevolk. But that’s my opinion I still see it in cinema once it comes out as it looks stunning snd feels like a proper Viking film with historical garments and weapons

Something that had occupied my mind these the past few weeks: Could there be a link to the words 'Seið/Sejd'(Swedish), the craft of a 'Seiðr/Sejdare'(Swedish), with the Sámi word 'Sieidi'(Northern Sámi)? 'Sieidi/Seite'(Swedish) were landmarks or objects made by nature, a large odd-shaped boulder for exampel, which holds a significant amount of spiritual potency. I don't think it's a coincidence but I can absolutly be wrong about it all. Just something I've been thinking about.

Once took Nordic mythology and Icelandic sagas in college (they were two separate classes), aka my shelf is filled with everything Viking including all the sagas (even a copy of Njals Saga in Swedish that I'm currently toughing my way through 😅😅😅)
