His whole first point is pretty moot considering they got the ball to Davante just fine last year. The difference is last year's team was mostly built by the regime before Josh. Josh and Zieg need to stop getting credit for bringing in Davante. He came here to play with Carr and Josh and Zieg BAIT AND SWITCHED him, then ruined the team around him

The main issue is the owner then the coaching. The interm HC definitely is the best option at this time. The Raiders may be what the Raiders used to be known for again

The o-line was not the problem, the lack of a deep ball was the problem. If the defense doesn't have to worry about a deep threat, they can stack the box with seven or eight people, which they have been doing. The o-line is only five people, sometimes six, they were outnumbered all the time and they still gave noodle arm Jimmy Glass a good two and a half to three seconds.

This guy is salty because his son got fired. If you watch the game, there pass protection was fine, the defense this year has been better. McDaniels offense was trash. He ran same play dagger every third down and defenses were running the routes for the WR's. Jimmy had time to throw, but he was trash but that was a qb handpicked by McDaniels.

His play calling was trash. Teams were sitting on in breaking routes the entire year. Jimmy G was atrocious and JMD was too stubborn to allow a rookie that HE DRAFTED run the offense. One the highest paid offenses and they can’t score 20 points. The personnel decisions were horrible. Giving guys extensions only to cut them or trade them for low draft picks. His ability to lead grown men is non existent. The offense was getting exponentially worse each week. That’s why he was fired. He’s not capable of running a team.

McDaniels made the same mistake with the Raiders as he did with the Broncos. Getting rid of a franchise caliber QB and replacing them with second tier talent... With the Broncos he jettisoned Jay Cutler for Kyle Orton... and with the Raiders he replaced Carr with Jimmy G...

It hasn’t worked for Belichick lately either! For this model to work, you have to have a superstar QB that allows to be coached hard.

All the Raiders had to do when Grueden went out the door was literally just NOT tear the whole thing down. He put the organization exactly where it needed to be even after he shockingly dumped Amari and Mack early on. That team was set up to make regular playoff pushes for the next few years but then they decided to ship out the remaining faces and insert decent players without actually going through the team building process like they had been doing for 4-5 years. Sad to see how quickly they fell. And this should be plenty of proof that McDaniels doesn't ever need to be a head coach again. There are virtually no positives from either Denver or Vegas to hold on to - just lots of controversy and failure.

Somebody better tell Lombardi that the Raiders O-line produced last years scrimmage yards leader, Jacobs. The problem was the play calling. Jimmy G can't complete a pass over 20 air yards. This allows defenses to stack 9 in yhe box every single play. Carr could threaten down field, thats the difference. Not the quality of the O-line. And we used the 9th overall pick to try snd support Maxx. This was a 10-7 playoff team, not a team starting to build a roster from scratch. Lombardi needs to stick to facts and stop pretending Josh and Mick Lombardi's problems were acquiring DA17 and not their decision to downgrade at QB snd use an amateur offensive playbook. Facts.

Mark Davis hired Josh and Dave along with many other incompetent HC's and GM's. In a year or two the Raiders will once again be looking for a good HC and GM and Davis will continue to make horrible decision just like he has done for the last 12 years. Davis needs to sell the team to people who are good at running a NFL franchise or the fan base will continue to suffer.
