On the even of Republic Day, here are some of the battles that defined our country. We celebrate a battle to establish our military and constitutional independence. Here are some fun ones. From Vir Das For India on Netflix.
"Because North Indians must have loud obnoxious vehicles throughout history" As a North Indian, this one got me ROLLING. Vir Das is a comedian that will actually get me to Laugh out loud instead of LOL
Man... that was just epic. "We are at war, you cannot say I did not order anything!!" And that loud obnoxious vehicles... Oh man!!! You got me. Same pinch here.
I think extraordinary knowledge he has traces back to his childhood in West Africa where his dad was seving Indian Foreign service probably. And he actually makes outstanding humour out of it. And he is pretty underrated only because of the image that he does shitty bollywood movies. But he has more IQ than whole bollywood combined.
If this video strikes any controversy now , I'll just assume most of the problem making people don't have Netflix subscription cause this special was done and shot yearsssss agooooo
India, in the last few years, has become polarised between hyper-sensitive nationalists on one sides and liberando cynicists on the other. Vir Das is like that guy in between keeping sanity alive in between 😀
Not to mention stuff like every World War 2 movie or game until very recently showing only white soldiers. And now when people try to correct, many of the same people cheering this on, particularly the BJP ones in India and the former guy's supporters here, will flip out at and make angry posts and videos about "historic authenticity" as if they know anything about history.
Excellent. Only, the famine in Bengal wasn't exactly a famine as we know it! It was a genocide, mass murder, The Bengal Holocaust! Consider this - nearly 6 million common people, especially poor people from the rural bengal were killed due to food and supply blockade by Britishers as part of an war, about which those people didn't even had any idea or knowledge about! All they saw and knew was - suddenly there is no food in the market and all the storages were looted by Britishers for reasons unknown!!
It was a perfect model employed in Ireland, Again in Madras, Once more in what is Bangladesh now, and many a time in Africa. It is an unfortunate truth that it was perfected in India.
I watched it already on Netflix. Even then I laughed so much. You're so good at this bro ♥️ My only complaint... Bring more episodes to the series 10 on 10.
'You're not afraid of being hit on by gay men. You're just afraid you might like it.' Here's to not toxic, but fragile masculinity perpetuated by we Indians......
This is a 5 min video, with 15 jokes in which 16 made me laugh. But there are many which I missed. I wish I could attend his every show.. And this not a joke.
Lessssssgooooooo.... Never loved any artist this much.... 😍😍😍 My love and respect to you sir... 🙌 It's an honor to be in the generation of the legendary vir das.... 😍😇
Always put his video in watch later because for a creator like vir das, the higher the content, the greater is his vocab skills so we need to watch it cautiously otherwise we'll need a translator or if not, we'll turn into his hater 😂
