I once was at a party. Was talking about how being "big" impacts your dating life as a man. Then this girl in the group says: "I don't envy you guys. I never done any physical activity in my life (and trust me you could EASILY tell) but I idgaf I got 100 matches in Tinder every 10 minutes." Really got me thinking. I have to work incredibly hard to maintain my body, while that girl can sit on the sofa all day and still have more dates than I will ever have.

@C Pryme lol have you ever been out of the house before? All you have to do is....look at the people around you If you see an overweight guy with a stunning woman...it’s an anomaly. It’s so abnormal that people develop a narrative to explain it. For example “he must have a lot of money”. 95 percent of the time, a fit and beautiful woman is going to have a healthy looking, lean man on her side. Channels like this would not exist if laziness were the key to prosperity with women. Sorry but someone lied to you. All you have to do is leave the house and look around and it becomes obvious. Doesn’t mean that fat guys can’t get girls. But if there were any truth at all in the fact that girls preferred out of shape men.... the entire fitness industry would cease to exist You are actually the one who has been tricked by the media. The entire modern narrative is an effort to tame men and take them down a peg and equalize everything.

Women only love intelligence when it translates into something that she can gain something from like you having a high paying job. I have a lot of knowledge on a variety of subjects but I stopped even bothering talking about any of them because women don't care about it at all. I save my passion about these subjects for the men in my life, because they actually seem interested sometimes. I just learned how to do some small talk for interacting with women because their brain seems to shut off as soon as anything serious comes up anyway.

When I was young, muscular, and athletic, all I ever heard from women I was with was that they wanted a man with higher body fat. I can only guess why, but I think it was a result of their own body insecurity. From comments made here and there, I think they were always aware of their own body fat when they were with me. I didn't think they were fat, but regardless I think they wanted a fatter guy so they could be less judgmental of themselves.

Odd, I never been told that directly and I've always been relatively lean and muscular, even now in my early 50s. I'm not a big guy by any stretch and have generally stayed within 175 to 185lbs at 5'10" since college and at my leanest measured 4% body fat. There was a period of several years where I lifted heavy but even then the most I weighed was 195lbs. I'm blessed with wide shoulders and a narrow waist so I don't appear too thin. I've had women stare at my chest, compliment my abs, legs and back. Freaks me out that my oldest daughter (20 yrs old) has been dating my doppelganger for 4 years now ... he is my height, lean and surprisingly ripped. I should make a side note that it is not all good ... despite being "fit" externally, I have heart problems and am constantly battling my bp and cholesterol ... I will not likely live far into retirement, a likelihood I am painfully aware of. In support of your point though, people my age "hate" me (as they will (semi)jokingly tell me) because I'm naturally lean but what I will say is that it was a real disadvantage for me when I was young and only became an advantage as I got older. Throughout my teens to maybe mid 20s, my physique and looks (cannot grow a full beard to this day) made me appear much younger than I was and I just had a very difficult time being taken seriously. The women I preferred did seem to prefer bigger, more mature looking men. A couple of caveats though ... first, I seemed to get an unusual amount of attention from much older MILFs ... which is more appealing on paper than in real life. Second .. and it's funny now but not so much at the time ... near the start of my career, the company where I worked was located adjacent to a largely LGBTQ neighborhood and I'd say I got noticed more by men than women, routinely getting hit on. I will also admit that my own wife, while never telling me that I should 'have more body fat' or being critical of my body, has a preference for large burly men over guys with my body type. That's ok, I have a preference for shorter petite blondes ... which she definitely is not, lol.

When I was in high school I could never talk to girls. I started wrestling and it was the hardest thing I’d ever done. I would get really close to having anxiety attacks, but I was superb at hiding it during practice. The reason for that was a history of abuse. After a while I adapted to this fear, and what’s really strange, it completely shifted my social status internally. I wasn’t as afraid of talking to girls, that fear paled in comparison to the mental battle that ensued every day after school. It was almost as if I was subconsciously proving to myself that I could take it, whatever “it” may be. That and I was more ripped than I’d ever been so that probably added to the confidence😂 I would say go join your local BJJ, Muy Thai, or wrestling gym. Especially if it makes you uncomfortable. Generally, I think more intelligent people also have much higher standards. If you're a strongly and persistently moral person - that is, assuming you wouldn't want to "date down" - and intelligent, the chances of finding someone are incredibly small. From my experience, I "feel" confident in my body, in terms of being able to protect myself due to having done (and still doing) self-defence. I also do many "intelligent" extra-curricular activities and have academic and career goals, but I'd also call myself someone who highly values morals, and from my experience, it has been nearly impossible to find someone. Also, personally, I don't see the value of relying heavily on body confidence, though I can see how it is useful. Simply because would it not be true that the "right" (or high-quality) girl would see straight through whatever is on the outside (whether you're confident in your body or not). Also, in my opinion, you might be biologically correct in saying "life is physical", that's probably true for most people who do not have good control over the instincts. However, for those who do, I think you might perhaps find that, for them, life is quite a lot more cognitive (thoughtful, prudent) and less physically focused, as they may be wise enough to understand that physical appearance and fitness, generally, does not last forever.

Very good comment, can relate, too. The "problem" I see in modern redpill community, is the whole dating down, lowering standards. I find that "high quality woman" is something totally different for me, than for most men I know. And it is OK, of course, everyone got their own perspective and goals. I went after low hanging fruit once or twice, experienced it, thank you, never again. Personally, when I hear some of my friends bragging about experiences with women, my reaction is "bro, I am amazed that you can put so much effort to learn game and tricks for mediocre girls". Like dude, seriously, all that self-improvement to hunt some 5/10 boring, entitled, lazy creature?

I don't know how useful this might be but since Alexander is talking about body confidence and coordination (which are good indicators of over all physical and mental health) I think the area of excercise man should partake in mostly should be bodyweight (callisthenics) excercise and mobility. These excercise require not just a lot of strength and fitness to master but very high levels of focus and body awareness. They require you to consciously pay attention to your body in a way that simply lifting weights just doesn't achieve. So for the most bang for your buck, calisthenics and mobility work will really do wonders for how you feel over all and how you carry yourself. The ability to move and act competently in the world. Plus you get a nice physique from it too. And trust me, if you can achieve at least a 10min rest in a deep squat, your thrust game will be significantly improved.

@@zerothehero123 yes you're right but if the goal is functional ability, body building is the most useless excercise. Lifting heavy weights with compound movements is great though. But it doesn't compare. A lat pulldown machine can't come close to developing the ability to do a pull up. The instability aspect of bodyweight training, especially with gym rings, gets at the heart of what Alexander is talking about. Too much weight training movements and equipment stabilizes you and locks you in place. It's too isolating and you can generally only work on a single plane.

That kind of healing has do to be done both in and outside of therapy with yourself (and at times, psychedelics can help).

Nonsense. I’ve had this worse then you could imagine. The gym will literally rewire your brain ( neuroplasticity ) for all the development potential you had stunted. Now this doesn’t mean it’s permanent. Any trigger will relapse you based on past coping strategies. This is why you have to keep pushing to grow physically. But you’re right about the mind expanding “journeys” otherwise the gym and physicality become their own coping mechanism. All this to say, you can heal, friend. I believe in you

That is a valid point. I have had a similar experience growing up and it affected my ability to socialize immensely. I've personally done a lot of mental and physical work on myself to the point it is noticeable. I have had relationships when I thought it was not possible, and I can talk my way through conversations now. However, there is still that disconnect. That feeling that something is 'off' or that I am the odd one out. Not every conversation goes as planned, some girls still get the ick look if I am myself. The process of healing takes a very long time, so be patient and enjoy the small victories along the way. Going to the gym even as a form of meditation will help alot and is a fantastic base for believing in yourself as said in the video.

I'm a neuro-developmental optometrist. A lot of the guys who literally don't feel comfortable in their bodies actually have developmental neurological deficits. Their brain-body connection isn't normal. There are all sorts of causes for this. Women are naturally turned off by it. Men tease each other about it. It wasn't until I had been in my field a few years that I realized that a lot of my own inadequacies are due to some of these issues--being terrible at sports, being carsick easily, can't think straight, etc. Besides telling people what women are attracted to, it's important to know what you actually need to do to fix it. There are many videos on RU-vid discussing things like primitive reflex integration and learning related vision problems. A lot of these types of issues are actually what's holding people back from their full brain capacities and thus their ability to feel comfortable in their own skin.

I never had the motivation to use my body physically, was just standing there most of the time handling my body very awkwardly when going after the ball. It got better over time but not really that much. Things changed when I went out of school, from 17-20 a lot in my brain has changed and I somehow sensed that there's an actual connection between my body and soul and I started getting excitement out of moving my body in agile ways. I started going Inline Skating (still am every day), buying and training with a Kubotan, helping my dad with some side work (most often antenna construction, climbing and construcing on roofs is fun and muscle usage of the whole body), and dancing (primarily after I discovered K-Pop). I'm still a rather skinny guy with not many muscles since those activities generally don't produce much muscle and gym was always utterly boring to me but I still have very good confidence and connection to my body and fairly pleased the way it is now. In terms of sports, I think basketball is a great choice combining many movement patterns with hand-eye coordination, footwork, rhythm, and timing, as well as being physical yet not overly rough. I also really like ultimate frisbee for working on sprints, jumping, coordination, and timing, but it’s a much less popular sport. As far as martial arts goes, I think a good starting point would be a grappling arts such as jiujitsu/judo/wrestling, coupled with a striking art like boxing/kickboxing/muythai.

For me just one thing gets boring so I find that walking, some weights and other cardio is great and I do find that a combination of yoga and body weight exercise really completes the package. I need stretching and coordination work so much more then I need the muscle bulk for so many reasons.

Alexander, of all the relationship utoobers, youre top of the line! And thanks for being there. But....vid after vid after vid talks about what "we" have to do to measure up. BALONEY! Its enough! My dad caught polio when he was 3. Had use of only 1/2 of one arm, no shoulder muscles for the rest of his life. Being a determined German, he had to and did compensate. My folks were together for over 65 years. When i asked mom what the attraction was....it wasnt about him at all. Her response - " i couldnt believe he would be interested in me!". Which surprised the heck out of me, cause Dorothy, recently passed at 99.5 yrs, was a sterling example of loyalty, compassion, grace, mercy, strength, determined, purity, love...that ever walked this planet. One in a billion. She stood by her man no matter what. Rich, poor, sick, healthy...didnt matter. And she loved Jesus. So, the question is, man or woman, who are you? And what is you life based on?

As a both Kyokushin Karate Instructor & A Snowboard Instructor I can highly approve this mans advice. Martial arts have helped me with my mental strength as much as my physical, and the knowledge that I have the capacity to defend myself (or others) have just given me a huge confidence compared to my awkward childhood. Martial arts have also helped me with my social skills since it's a highly social activity in the dojo where you practice very often in pairs and with others. Snowboarding have helped me with the flow & smoothness of my body coordination, being relaxed and moving around more relaxed, it has also helped me with fear since I often tend to push my limits on the snowboard and aim for higher jumps/obstacles, going into dangerous terrains, pushing myself into faster speeds, etc. You trust yourself and your body on another level after experiencing these things. These 2 things together have given me a lot of mental and physical perks in life that I believe that women find very attractive, but I don't do it for the women, I do it for myself, which all men should do.

After studying 6 different martial arts, I can vouch for the consequential confidence mentioned in the video. Also for context understand that I am a guy who is under 6 foot. At first I saw this as a disadvantage on many levels, but I have seen how my lower point of gravity creates an advantage for me in martial arts. Trust me, it is interesting to learn and training also happens to tone your muscles. The discipline and skills learned in training taught me patience, stamina, focus, and how to calm down in pressuring situations. All of which are highly beneficial in mentioned activities. I trust my body more now because I am aware of what my body is capable of. That gives me courage. Also, I have an overall feeling of security in self defense.

Important tip before grinding: Don't do it with attracting girls in mind. I've been doing parkour, taekwondo, for half of my life now. Also consider myself highly verbal and intellectual. However, in life, you will most likely meet bitchy shallow girls that don't see the value in intellectualism and/or physical ability. I went through multiple heartbreaking rejections within the past 6 years. You need to do it cuz you love it. And that you would keep on doing it, with or without a girl. You need to enjoy and accept being alone if that's what mother nature deems your fate to be. But I'm very grateful that now I am with a beautiful girl that loves all the things I spent my whole life trying to build. My brain and body. But that was just luck. I should still be able to feel comfortable on my own.

I would add social/ballroom (swing, salsa, waltz, etc) dance: Higher women to men ratio. You practice asking women to dance. You practice leading them. You practice touching and handling women in a safe non-me-2 environment.

Fellas, there's a lot of videos like this on the internet, saying all these things you have to do to attract women...and honestly I can appreciate what this guy is trying to do...but like...man...why pander to women like this? Why not do things for you instead? I don't get it, just be yourself and don't be afraid to try new things, whether that be physical or otherwise, the joy of learning new skills is a reward in and of itself, doing all this to get women is honestly kinda sad.

Hey Alexander, I am a freestyle dancer. You described perfectly well how dance feels. The challenge of making something on the spot with the music and capturing that with appropriate moves grants so much confidence boost, and it is true that it makes you more in tune with your body. Dance, in freestyle, is both mentally and physically stimulating, and performing it makes it even more attractive and challenging. I’ve been a freestyle dancer for 7 years and I perform in freestyle occasionally. I can confidently say that I walk around feeling like, and knowing that, I am capable of something that not a lot of people have. I am not at all a muscle builder nor a skinny guy, maybe slightly burly. However, my confidence with my own body is through the roof. Thank you for encouraging people what essentially is my lifestyle. For anyone reading this, I highly recommend dance!

I'd also recommend if you take martial arts, whether it's boxing, jiu-jitsu, or mma, is to also sign up for an amateur fight or tournament. If you win or lose, you'll learn a lot about yourself. It's also better to be in a fight for the first time against someone who just wants to beat you rather than harm you. Your confidence will greatly increase after being in a fight, especially if you win, but also if you lose.

Im going to through a divorce. Near the end of the marriage, my image of myself was greatly impacted. I used to go to dance classes and go to the gym everyday. My wife used to make me feel unattractive and not confident. I’m also in the military and I think the culture of the military makes confidence in one’s self harder. Weather it was your leaders belittling or disrespecting you it is sometimes hard to than come home to the someone that bring more negativity. I am currently trying to build myself back.
