Love that you talk about women over 50 in Paris, in such a complimentary way. Fashion and style is a way to celebrate ourselves and life in general and it’s wonderful to look forward that decade of my life with excitement instead of dreading the aging process. ❤
I love your special way of presenting your fashion knowledge and preferences with style and a lovely sense of humor! I believe that the spreading of COVID-19 in all countries changed many aspects of our preferences for certain fabrics, clothing and shoes. Everywhere you look now, women prefer using sneakers instead of high-heel shoes. Comfort is now a big item in our closets. Kind regards from Brazil!
I enjoy your videos. You provide thoughtful commentary. I read an article by a British author who said the Brits will dress up for dinner but the French do not. I don’t know if that’s accurate, but a video contrasting British and French style would be interesting or French/Italian or even Parisian style compared to New York.
Thank you for creating this video! It was so helpful. I’ve admired French and Parisian fashion for a while and you were able to bring everything to life and make it much more approachable. I liked hearing when and how certain items are used (red lip, basket bag). I would be interested in a future video about how French women shop for fashion. In order to better understanding the thought processes, and where to prioritize investments versus more affordable purchases. Thank you again! I love your channel.
Thank you for another marvelous video on Parisian style! Love your coverage of style for women over 50; I'd love to see more videos with your take on style and cosmetics styles for women over 50. Merci!
Thank you, Alice ❤️. This was very enjoyable to watch, and super helpful for my holiday plans to Paris. I wonder if you have done an episode on managing safety in Paris, otherwise could you make one, please? Also, do you have any comment on the bed bug situation in Paris? Thank you again, and have a wonderful day!💋😊
Love all of this, your advice is always so great! I used this type of wardrobe for my visit last November and was mistaken for a local more than once 😎😀. Also loving all the street scenes of beautiful Paris! Can't wait to go back!❤
Great video. I am in LOVE with French fashion and style. I will also add that after watching many other videos of yours, I can spot my fellow Americans. Now that I know, we DO stick out like a sore thumb, don't we?
Thank you Alice for such a very thoughtful review! I love the way you commented on the finer details while adding the overall attitude. These are things that are often missed when observing a city's style but matter so very much. ❤
I had better take notes so I don't look out of place when I visit! The only way to afford the more expensive pieces is to mix them with chic but affordable ones and to buy timeless classics, for the most part. I like to be edgy every so often, but favor simplicity. Thank you, Alice.
You are a doll! Love this particular video as it touches on all looks..A video on must know french phrases or words for shopping, restaurants etc would be helpful too..
This was a fantastic video. I will try to incorporate all your tips when I come to Paris at the end of the year. I’m the curvy lady who asked you about the Jade dress from Destree. Would you ever consider doing a makeup video showing what products you use and how you apply them. I also wear minimal makeup but I’m still not very good at application.
I see Parisian women all wearing the Rive Droite cross body bag everywhere I go these days, maybe this simple bag is the current "it" bag. The other trend I notice a lot now on Parisian women is "Brooklyn" written on everything; canvas tote bags, baseball caps, sweatshirts, and t-shirts. Great video.
Alice is spot on again. In 10 minutes this morning having coffee at 8:15 AM on Rue Notre-Dame De Lorette at least 20 women have walked by wearing blazers/sport coats and that might be exaggerated on the low side because I lost count.😂
Interesting commentary about the fashion styles of Parisian women. Incidentally, that’s a chic and classic styled top and jacket you’re wearing in the video - is there a link that you can share on where to get them?
I wear a lot of silk because of skin allergies and other skin and overheating problems, I can’t wear any synthetics and even cotton can irritate my hyper-sensitive skin. Silk is just perfect as a breathable year-round first layer, I always wear it under my wool and cashmere knits in winter, too. But, I don’t want to look dressy all the time, or be criticized for wearing silk, so I try to find silk items in matte (crepe de chine) and semi-matte (habotai) weaves. I don’t know why so many silk brands make only fancy, shiny charmeuse/satin weaves.
Great tips! But the footage you’ve chosen doesn’t always match what you’re saying - perhaps pictures selected by you would give a better representation of the lovely styles you’re referring to 😊❤️
I love Paris but in the last 10-15 years Parisian women have not been dressing as nicely as they used to. A lot more casual and not as chic. In my opinion, the Italian woman is dressing far better. What a pity.
Mostly what I see people in a lot of countries specifically in Europe, dress very similar if they are not influencers 😂nothing special or different… not many really care… in America it’s the same, depends where you live and if you drive everywhere nobody seems to care how you dress…. Maybe in restaurants or big shopping mall you can see what people wear… I don’t understand what is the big difference between Parisian and other countries…. No difference… I’m from Europe but I live in USA..
There seems to be no range. Now, the Italian street style is in my opinion more superior and New York is wayyyy more creative. No less sophisticated, just less buttoned up.
