I had hail damage to a vehicle. my insurance covers it under comprehensive coverage. Should I allow the insurance adjuster look at it, or skip the adjuster and go directly to a repair shop to get an estimate, photos, and have it repaired? I understand the adjuster works for the insurance company and will find any way to get the lowest repair estimate.
I bought this truck with hail damage but the dealership said nothing about it didn't see it till later on last night we had hail my truck was out in it I have full coverage I've not had any problems in 15 months so are you saying that my insurance don't have to accept this claim and I would have to pay? Does the insurance notify the lean holder??? Thank you
Good morning Henry. Depending on the severity of the hail and which type of repair is required your vehicle may suffer depreciated value. Your insurance company will make you whole if this is the case. When PDR or Paintless Dent Repair is the chosen repair method, and it is done correctly, there should be no diminished value due to the fact that the vehicle will not be repainted.
