Hi Fabian, Please seal all the filters for keeping them clean. As you said, you can use non MB approved motor oils, but you need to input the appropriate information in the multimedia system of the truck. it will then tell you when the oil change is due. When dealing with any air filter but not replacing it, never blow air through it. The holes of the air filter are around 2.5 microns. When you blow it with air, you tear it still in microns which you don't see with bare eyes, but enough for the dust to penetrate. Would advise you to have a 3/4" drive impact wrench for assistance when in need to change a wheel. Enjoy the next trip.

May I suggest to put your filters into sealed bags (we have the brand ZipLoc--the stronger Freezer model is probably best) before returning them into the boxes, to ensure no dust gets into them.....especially your Fuel filters. The vibration is bound to wear out the cardboard boxes and introduce paper dust, in addition to road dust. You can also strengthen the plastic cover of the Air Brake filter with duct tape over the open end of the filter. The narrow/ sharp outer edge, and the threads, of the filter will eventually wear through the plastic and could allow contaminants into the filter.

What do you think about choosing an arocs 6x6 as a camper? Do you know if the cost of operation increases a lot with respect to your 4x4 model? Thanks for your videos. I wish you the best.

Hi there, Well, you may have space for one more extra room and more individual planning flexibility (approx. 1.5 Meter longer possible on 6x6 chassis) when thinking about living space… when thinking about driving a 6x6 you do not have more advantages in a 6x6. The turning radius is smaller in a 4x4 as well if you don’t have a stearing rear axle in the 6x6. Weis nicht ob ihr schon mal ein Video über die komplette Beladung gemacht habt?! 🤔 Empfehle ein Ersatz Felgenventil mitzunehmen, eines von unseren Ventilen ist beim Luftdruckanpassen angebrochen. (Wer denkt an sowas 😳) In Merzouga bei Ibrahim (Mechanique erg chebbi) konnten sie es uns löten. Sonst hätten wir ohne brauchbare Reservefelge weiter fahren müssen. Nur ein Beispiel, alles aufzuzählen würde den Rahmen jetzt sprengen. 😉

I don't know anything about trucks. Would it it be easy to diagnose any problem that the truck might have on the road(with a computer or any kind of tools or the truck system it self)? Or maybe you would rather just call a mechanic or assistance if you have to do anything else than the normal maintenance. I am just curios because this seems to be a very modern truck. Nice video.

It really depends what is needed… usually the regular services we can do our self’s or at least plan with a garage… (oil changes/tire rotation/ filter changes etc…) some unplanned maintenance so to speak will either be handled via a special diagnosis set up that we have with us then a mechanic/ good friend of ours goes on the system and tells us one of the following possibilities: 1. It’s ok, error erased nothing needed you can drive again 2. Well, it’s ok to drive to the next garage and they can fix it or we can fix it ourselfs on the road (with guidance) 3. You can’t drive any longer and you will need spare parts delivered, then he will contact the next available garage and we will receive the needed spare part delivered from Germany or a mechanic comes by directly and fixes the needed situation.
