If your ex is acting strange, you might think that your ex has had a major personality break. After all, one moment they were acting loving and caring toward you, then suddenly, they become cold, distant, maybe even cruel toward you?
What is going on?
First of all, they are probably feeling all sorts of things toward you.
Maybe guilt. Guilt is a huge feeling that drives a lot of people’s exes to do strange things. But it is also one of the signs your ex still has feelings for you.
After all, what your ex is thinking when they feel guilt toward you is that they hurt someone, and no one wants to think of themselves as the kind of person that hurts someone else.
Next is frustration. Your ex probably feels some amount of frustration toward you due to the fact that you two broke up. If your ex broke up with you, they were probably frustrated with you or the relationship and it reached a breaking point where they just couldn’t take it any longer.
The third feeling your ex has is insecurity. They are probably secretly worried that they made the wrong choice in breaking up with you. That’s whey they often go out of their way to try to justify their actions. This can cause them to become very competitive. They might even try to put you down or make you look poorly so that they can feel better about themselves.
But really, it’s just a form of insecurity.
Fourthly, they feel reactance toward you. Reactance is the feeling they get when they want to resist interacting with you because they think that you are trying to railroad them into your own ulterior motive (getting back together).
It’s not a good feeling, which is why it’s best to let go of ulterior motives.
Finally, your ex also probably feels attraction toward you. This might seem a bit strange at first, but if you think about it, it makes sense, if you really stop to think about it.
If your ex is experiencing any of these emotions, it is really one of those signs your ex is not over you.
