Whatever Happened to STACI KEANAN, star of "MY TWO DADS" and "STEP BY STEP"? 

I actually really liked how she got into law because I pictured the character Dana as the kind of person that would probably grow up to be a lawyer

Staci was and still is by far one of my biggest 80's crushes. Thank you for letting us all know about Going Places. Now I have something to look for.

I still watch my two dad's I watched it yesterday it comes on every Sunday evening on antanna tv I love all of these 80s and 90s tv shows they were the best and miss them all thank you Steve and stay safe

Really I had no ideal Staci Keanan wasn't her real name. I wish Step By Step would get a reboot Staci and Christine were my favorites I miss the 90s there are no good sitcoms on TV today.

I remembered My Two Dads so well, and that's how I always recognized her. However, I could never find the show to watch, I would only ever see commercials for it. I was a young kid at the time, but I will always clearly remember her

"Going Places", "My Two Dads" and "Step by Step" broadcasted here in PERU, South America, back to the day, 1992-1993, aprox!! "Step by Step" or "Paso a Paso", as it was known in Spanish for the Latin American market was the most succesful one, here, for obvious reasons!! Ms. Keanan character was very Smart and she was a delight for the eyes! It's amazing how all those American Sitcoms were needed for fillin' in the different time slots of those TV stations abroad!! I always find some interviews with these TV stars, from HIT Shows of the 80's and '90s, that had no idea how BIG the shows they were starring were in other countries and languages!

I loved Staci Keanan! Watched My Two Dads and Step By Step as much as I ever could. There was a sitcom with Frye from Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Heather Locklear? I don't remember that at all. I mighta been in college and not watching what was on TV at the time.

I remember Going Places but didn't know Keanan was in it. Later on, I had big crushes on both Staci (in the final season of Step By Step, when she went platinum) and Hallie Todd (also with platinum hair in Life With Roger).

I did not see Staci's new career coming! I loved her in everything she was in back in the day. I wasn't a big fan of Step By Step but I would watch just to see Staci. I do recall Going Places but I don't remember it beyond the title. Thanks for this update. I too wondered what had happened to Staci and it is once again great to see a child actor who defied the odds.

Heather Locklear looked great in Going Places. I didn't realize it was Stacy in all 3 shows. Whatever happened to Levine and Ruck from Going Places. Step by Step was a great show.

I did not know she became an LA County district attorney. I wonder if a TV screenwriter who knew her from her child acting days used her life story as an inspiration for the TV series Lucifer. In that show the Devil comes out of Hell to hang out in Los Angeles, and his main human foil is a detective who used to be a child TV actress.

I think she said on Christine Lakin's podcast that she got fed up on losing out on roles and ultimately decided to go to school to study law. She was great but I don't see her returning to acting. If you think about it, the switch in career path is a very Dana Foster type of move.

I watched Going Places! And Mark Foster from Step By Step was in it! It was alright. And as a kid, I didn't always get the jokes. I remember the opening credits were pretty epic. Like it was a carnival ride. And the funny thing is, I honestly thought the one actor was Andrew McCarthy! From well.....Everything in the 80s and early 90s lol. But I was wrong!

Finally, you did someone from my childhood. I don't think she re-invented herself but she took a different career path and I understand why she used a somewhat different name. We really don't hear too many good things that happen to child actors. Usually, child stars die early and become addicts or alcoholics. By the way do you know what happen to one of the boys on Step by Step, they had six children and then they were down to 5.
