the reason it doesn't say scholastic on the sorcerer's stone is because bloomsbury published the uk version. its not a scholastic logo as well,,,,its bloomsbury.

3:14 the logo on the left is Bloomsbury the British publisher.

Okay hearing all these difference, I kinda want the Philosopher’ (Mina Lima signed) version. But I’m wondering if I should wait til they finish making all 7 books. Would that be 1 book a year? So maybe u years from now? Lol

They did already start on the chamber of secrets but who knows by what time we will have all the books already 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m gonna collect all the signed copies and American books to give to my future kids 😂 I don’t want to give them the signed copies

@@TheCollectingWizard I just checked out the Amazon Canada version and it seems to be a combination of both!! It’s the “Philosopher’s Stone” version BUT has “Rowling” instead of “JK Rowling” hmmmmmm

I’ve started to notice many key differences in books between UK/ CA and USA. the lord of the rings has way different book covers some more exclusive the the USA versions

Are there any differences inside? I think they must have... at least there were quite different when first printed (British version has some cuts that were included in the american version), and I've seen different versions of the "same" image too in the internet, so I would like to see a video of the interior images side by side. I only have the british edition, so I can't check...

There are differences in the language used throughout the book - for instance the words Trolley, Crisps, Motorbike & Jumper - The American Book uses Cart , Potato Chips, Motorcycle, sweater ... There are other difference too with how sassy Harry is , the acceptance letters wording, etc. There are quite a few!!! FUN!!!

Nope, aside from the typical words that the British say different like “philosopher” instead of “sorcerer”

Yes there is as well. I don’t know if they sell them all together like the ones here in America but I do know there’s a philosophers illustrated book

Not really. They only changed the title of the books, but the text follows the British spelling in every English edition, except for the term "Philosopher".

Both have the same quality since they’re all made by MinaLima all the books are made by them and then they are distributed across the world

Sure, hardback books are the hard cover books where as paperback are the loose books that you’re able to bend the cover. It’ll be really hard to bend a hardback book
