I do not own any rights to this video. But this fight is so awesome I just had to upload It. Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus are facing the Predaking. Great fight although Ultra Magnus loses his hand.
Out of all the animated melee fights i've ever seen, this one will always be my #1 favorite. I mean the raw strength and speed of the characters combined with the cinematic view is something i find unparalleled in any other fight.
ryan mason doesn’t change that this fight was dope asf . I think it was the best fight on the show. All the hits just looked so powerful. With Ultra Magnus tossing around the Forge hammer. And the predaking just going full savage mode on the two was dope
I love Ultra Magnus, other bots had regular jobs before the war, but Ultra Magnus was military before the war ever started. He was always meant to be a soldier.
I like how Wheeljack is actually upset the most over Magnus being injured. It's true, without even saying a word, those two fought as one. I loved the teamwork between Jackie and Magnus. Most bad ass fight ever.
Right? The few times Predaking managed to land a hit on one of them was purely luck. But like you said, Predaking is a powerful tank, when he hits, he hits HARD! Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack could only take so much. Also Predaking's tanky build and thick armor allowed him to withstand most of Magnus and Wheeljack's attacks.
He isn't ancient, he's a clone of the ancient predacon species so he's pretty inexperienced in fighting agianst transformers who have millenia worth of fighting experience The only advantages Predaking had were his immense brute strength and durability
This fight was truly epic. It actually feels like a fight between Titans going at each other as hard as they can yet can't kill the other immortal beings. Which is why it's kinda disappointing there's so much fodder enemies for the Autobots to tear through. Especially with the Insecticons being magically nerfed for some reason then just straight up removed.
The Insecticons in the aligned continuity are nerfed compared to the G1 versions as they are, in-universe, more primitive beings than the Autobots/ Decepticons (they were able to dominate the Lightning Strike Coalition - and they were already one of the toughest Autobot teams). Their destructive potential is more due to their sheer numbers (coupled with cloning capabilities) and their ability to digest any material in the planet rather than being individually tanky like in G1.
@@PaoloAlexisFalcone they are not like real life insects it's just prime treatment that way hardshell could have easily killed wheelljack with no problem
@@NaimChowdhury-cj4kkThe slaughter/probable genocide of his species just when they were going to come back probably did it. I don’t blame him for being hella pissed.
I gotta admit, part of me wishes they could've taken the remains of Solas Primes hammer and graphed it onto Ultra Magnus' arm Edit: thanks for the positive feedback guys!
THIS is how you introduce new powerful characters without degrading the power of already established ones: You can clearly see Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus (two characters build up as badasses and highly skilled warriors with years of experience) gave it their all, and they gave Predaking hell. But all the same, they also showed Predaking's on a whole different level than them, being able to literally lift up a part of a mountain roof/massive stalactite and ram it into Wheeljack, and crushing Ultra Magnus' hand with his foot and breaking the Forge of Solus Prime (a literal holy artefact from a bygone age of incredible durability) with his bare hands. I know a great number of shows that introduced new characters with far less consideration.
@@LukeSkywalker-fm1dc oh yea no question about it tfp does it dang near perfectly especially predaking most fights he enters end with him beating the scrap out of the poor bots who pissed him off
0:54 that slow-mo to accentuate the impact.... 1:02 That continuous shot of Wheeljack preparing his punch. Completly selling the strenght behind it. 1:08 That masterful use of his swords to get ready to kick Predaking ass. 1:11 Predaking who goes into "Ruin career" mode. Probably the best fight of the entire series for choregraphy.
@@boltstrikegaming7179 it's a process called I believe "exagerated reality", where you take a seemingly mundane action, but with work of the camera you manage to make it believable that this action is FAR stronger that what it would appear. Show like RWBY or Red vs Blue -at least when Mounty was still alive- used this processed a LOT and made for some of the best choregraphied fights you could ask for. (you should check the episode called "Spiral", there's an intense chase scene that make use of that quite a lot with continuous shots)
I’d say it’s up there with the grudge match between optimus and megatron during one shall fall, optimus was actually going all out and was planning to kill megatron
You never expected such a fast paced fight from large, bulky robot people but holy cow, choreography, the teamwork, the cinematics This is one of the franchises best fights to dae
@@DarkOps4 not the kind that heals (the magical kind). But if you're talking about the kind that basically makes them living functioning cybertronians. It's an if-y yes or no sort of thing.
@@jessicaprice308 The cybermatter existed and it would have healed his hand 100% for sure. No doubt. It healed Bumblebee's voice box and it could absolutely heal Magnus's hand. The only thing is that before the final battle on the Nemesis, the Autobots had no access to such materials because the Decepticons had it in which it took the minds of Shockwave and Ratchet to procure. Furthermore, when they bridged onto the Nemesis for the final battle, Magnus's main concern wasn't to heal his hand but rather to secure his objectives to complete the mission. By the end of said mission, they used 100% of the cybermatter to restore Cybertron with no evidence of Shockwave's equation so they couldn't have healed him from the attack from the two Predacons in the film either. With all of that said, there was the potential but it was irrelevant and Magnus simply never had the chance because it didn't matter that much.
@@thebrandonrobert5693 ok I get that. I meant that they hadn't made it yet. Yeah cyber matter has probably been since cybertron was a functioning planet, but they didn't have it in their hands (the kind we're talking about). Sorry I didnt answer exactly perfectly to suggest that I knew that. I don't remember ratchet asking bee at any point of the series, hey did you want to fix your voice and make hasbro get you a real voice actor? Lol
The way they were fighting, it kinda looked like an anime fight. The fast pace nature and quick movement and the fighting styles along with their weapons used by these three seem similar to an anime fight between the good guy and the bad guy. It very exciting.
All the fights have amazing aspects in brutality and choreography something Star wars wishes it still had and took aspects from the bayverse and did it so much better
@@joshuarichards9365 Magnus and Wheeljack would totally win. In episode Persuasion, Magnus beat Shockwave easily and in Triage, Wheeljack had Soundwave beat.
@@vickerandflips8061 yes you are correct but here's the thing you've never seen them work together. Also remember laser beak wasn't with Soundwave when Wheeljack fought him
@@vickerandflips8061 When shockwave and soundwave teamed up they beat Optimus, not hotrod and fat transformer. I can't remember their names. I think Magnus and wheeljack would still win.
Transformers Prime is that rare example when the greatest animated fights of all time coincide with great characters, great chemistry, GREAT animation, a great cast, and the best writing possible for its material all at once! The Transformers franchise peaked with this show and it will NEVER have a better TV series! ...It also helps that the majority of the titular characters are designed with quite a bit of sex appeal in mind!
I'm 23 years old right now, and this fight is as awesome andvery brutal, just as I remember it, like gadayum!! the Predaking is a savage and vicious fighter, I am so glad to have grown up in an era when shows meant for kids like this existed
Bruh you know how much force you have to exert to smack Ultra Magnus up almost two stories into the wall AND leave him embedded in the rock? Predaking was no joke.
If predaking meet Grimlock from FOC becasue FOC is canon to Transfomrers Prime, Grimlock would have whipped the floor with predaking, Grimlock in a tie in Comic to FOC Grimlock killed two Predacons he killed the first one stabbing his sword threw it easily in the chest, the second one Grimlock picked up slammed to the ground and beat it to death with his bare hands easily, Grimlock is like the hulk in transformers the angrier he gets the stronger and more powerful he becomes. Grimlock would have easily put Predaking in his place the original plan was for season 3 to have Grimlock and the DinoBots and we would have had a Grimlock vs Predaking fight 2 twice with predaking in beast form attacking Grimlock from a far and grimlock had to fall back, second fight had them fighting robot form and grimlock would have beaten Predaking and he would have to fall back to megatron and the decpticons.
Ultra magnus: Damn Optimus what the hell took you so long. Optimus: just waiting for the right time to lend you a hand eh Ultra magnus: Grrrrr Optimus: Hey look on the bright side at least you're not scrounge that guy lost his special arm primus knows what Straxus is doing with that special arm probably using it as a back scratcher
Optimus Prime v. Megatron and the Battle for the Omega Keys are close seconds from this series. From others, I'd put Team Athenia v. Team Charr from Transformers Animated, the Escape from Cybertron scene from the recent Bumblebee movie, Ironhide, Jazz and Ratchet v. Brawl, Sideswipe & Ironhide v. The Dreads, and Bumblebee vs. Dropkick & Shatter, up there as well.
@@quantum.starhop I’d put both fights that starscream and galvatron had in the unicron trilogy and galvatron’s final battle with optimus from cybertron on that list
Am I the only one that wanted Predaking to take someone's spark? Imagine finding the smoldering ruins of your race, and the (presumably at the time) culprits that destroyed it. I'd be seeing red, too.
Wheeljack and Magnus fight coordination is really good but bro you gotta love Predaking his brute strength is damn good. Imagine if this guy received combat training he doesn’t even use his blaster just raw strength and his primal fighting technique
@@wishsuccess5995 there’s only one individual that megatron feared more than predaking and that’s unicron, unicron is so evil that being subjected to his torture caused megatron to actually give up being a decepticon
Bro this fight is like an anime fight, the teamwork between Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack was amazing this is definitely the best fight in this show, Wheeljack was beating Preadking with his bare fist for most of the fight something even megatron had a trouble doing, it’s crazy how these two did better than megatron in a fight predaking for sure did more damage to these then he did to megatron, for sure the best fight in the show and the fact they combo’d predaking was actually crazy to me
Gotta be my favourite fight in the show. The music, choreography, speed, and weight of the animation are all sublime. And despite the fact our heroes lose and Optimus makes the save, they still grow as characters.
Well I mean its not something one has to be a Prime to be able to lift thing plus I am sure he has no idea what it was and did not even give a fuck if he know what it is. His original self was more ancient than the Forge itself😂😂😂
@@Tonymobb110 yeah its the same idea. Good guy is knockin the crap out of bad guy. Bad guy goes down. Bad guy lands one good hit. Bad guy kicks the crap out of good guy
When you are young, you like the hero, but when you grow up,you start to understand the villain,in this whole series, predakimg was some kind of villain because he was created and somehow raised by decepticons, but he wasn't bad,he lost everyone around him, everyone was afraid of him,he lost what was going to be his friends, his brothers,i can understand this, because i lost just as much as he does,i remember that when i was little i saw this fight, and i wanted him to be killed, but honestly now i understand why he reacts like he did
I mean, he basically watched his entire race die right in front of him, and these Mag/Jack seemed to be the one responsible. Not hard to see why Pred's pissed.
Holy shit, this fight was an gem!! The mind boggling co-ordination between Magnus and Wheeljack being so insync and awesome, inspite of stark different personalities, and never before having fought together. The sheer endurance of them both in tanking so many hits of a powerful dragon. Preadking's absolute maniacal rage and charging them with raw power. Perfect capture of Power vs skill. If the duo weren't so far outclassed in power, they certainly coulda ended predaking's career.
Grimlock is a veteran combatant, while Predaking is even less than a year old big boi. A lot of different battle experience But Predaking should put a good fight with Grimlock tho, even by being towered by Grimlock's size. Predaking seems too strong for his size, and extremely tanky
Bro how, just how did that Hammer slam not blow off Magnus’ head. He literally ran and swung the hammer onto Magnus’ face and still he wasn’t even unconscious
2:57 Should've just transformed and rolled out of there as soon as that stalactite fell on Predaking. As Megatron once said, the Autobots often expend great effort in vain.
