Him saying “sounds like we’re all going to die” is honestly pretty characteristic of Wheeljack. He was never hesitant about fighting and he honestly was a great fighter in battle. He was just saying “this plan is bad and we’re probably gonna die but screw it”.
Honestly, no offense to Edformers but I feel he is looking over things, I think the “Sounds were all going to die” line wasn’t supposed to be taken seriously but just for comedy
All I wanna say about the coward thing and not wanting to fight is cuz they gotta fight unicron. A planet sized transformer and there wasn’t that many of them on the team. Their odds of survival were very low and anyone would be right to accept death in that moment
But the Wheeljack we know is crazy, even if the plan was an irrational plan, he would attack and wouldn't be afraid, also Wheeljack is an engineer but not a nerd.
What if wheeljack got damage by the decepticons and they interrogated him on his arrival to earth. They took away his fins and mask or the decepticons made him lost his memories or voice?
I was hoping he was an imposter and maybe in the next movie the real Wheeljack comes back and confronts him and it’s either another Autobot that stole his identity during escaping Cybertron or it could be a Decepticon waiting for the right moment. Not exactly a theory but more of something I hope ends up happening.

i believe why wheeljack says " sounds like we are going to die" is because the terrorcons are more powerful and menacing than the deceptions, and they are bringing unicron to earth, so that's why i believe why wheekjack said that

Previous transformers continuities confirm that multiple cybertronians will sometimes share the same name. So my personal theory is that ROTB Wheeljack/Pablojack isn't the Wheeljack seen in Bumblebee (2018), he's just another autobot who happens to share his name.

That would the mostly sense really. Kind of like how many humans have the same first or last name with the amount of people on the planet some are bound to share the same name in some form or other and I imagine a similar thing would also occur on Cybertron too. Also Pablojack is an amazing name for this nerdy bus.
I think that the film makers wanted to make a new design for wheel jack that was more expressive with his mouth than the lights. I think wheel jack was just a more careful scientist, and was says we’re going to die because he probably hasn’t had to fight someone in a long time, and might be out of shape.
All very interesting, my theory while not as exciting is that this was going to be a different character and was changed to be Wheeljack to get people talking about the movie and so they can sell more toys given that Wheeljack is a very popular character.
So the real wheeljack is actually in the deception ship because they got him in the bumblebee movie so MAKESHIFT did a different wheeljack so the autobots think he’s scand a different car.

I personally theorize that this Wheeljack is a clone of the original rather than an imposter. Having been created by the Original Wheeljack for whatever reason with other Wheeljack clones and the Og Wheeljack still out there.
Theory: the wheel jack in the bumblebee movie is the real wheel jack and i theorize that makeshift was already on earth and when he saw the auto bots he knew it was the time for him to make a move

If they in fact don’t bring back the original Wheeljack design for future movies, it’s a bit grim, but I hope they show the BB Wheeljack being executed in the Transit deleted scene, as Transit was intended to taunt Prime with holograms of Autobots being killed. I think he simply enjoyed his time in Earth. He was fully armored in Bumblebee but he's more relaxed in ROTB with less armor. Plus the vehicle he's using for disguise is old and rusting.
Different Theory: What if Wheeljack's alternate mode caused his Robot mode to change. To those who think that's stupid, look at Bumblebee's robot mode as a jeep, Beetle, and Camero then look at his robot mode as a Cybertronian car.

Theory:In Cybertron some of them have different Appearance and on earth when they turn to veichles there appearance changes like arcee and his accent is like that because he’s in peru and more calm cause theres nature
I liek the theory, but it'd raise the question on how he manage to get under their noses when Arcee was with Wheeljack during Bumblebee. She wouldve at least noticed the difference in behavior and voice.
The main issue I have is if it was a deception trying to pretend to be wheel jack, wouldn’t he try to look and act like wheel jack? Not a completely different looking transformer?
I think the reason is because transformer can change what they look like and can change there voice to. Maybe he wanted to look more human a fit in more.
