Brother you obviously have seen the light when it comes to fast GTRs!!! Once someone gets a GTR they keep the car. There are so many GTRs that have 2000-3000 rwhp. My neighbor has one and it is only 800 horsepower but it is perfect for daily driving. A car very similar to the GTR is the Porsche 911 Turbo. My 911 Turbo with 800 horsepower beats my neighbor’s GTR. However I have never come across a 911 Turbo with 2000 rwhp like is common in the GTR community. No doubt the GTR Rocks!!!! The engine is rock-solid!!!! They are heavy cars in comparison to the 911 Turbo. That’s why my car beats my neighbor’s GTR. But obviously he can turn it up and win any day!!! Amazing car!!! Mustang's, Gtr's, rx7's for me. Ford is very smart the last two generation coyotes were mirrored after the gtr motor hint the duel overhead cam etc... if this is true, what a genius play. Because both these engines are capable of a lot of power in their stock forms and aftermarket.
The factory Horse power rating is 565 for the new GTR Which has an MSRP around $120,000 before dealer markups. It's a great looking car but I'm wondering how much is invested for the interior changes and engine to obtain 1700 horsepower
Its only a matter of time before the S58s and B58s are there too. In just 2 short years since the G80/G82 CXD were released they are already in the low 8's 1/4 and pushing 1400-1500WHP range for big builds. Ive owned a G80CXD since 2022 and just ordered a new fully optioned G82CXD with carbon buckets & Carbon Ceramic Brakes to fully build out as a first in class drag & show car. The awesome thing about these platforms is the levels of performance versatility, practicality, reliability, & drive-ability. Uncommon for a platform to offer them all with that build quality & interior... Not many platforms out where you can upgrade downpipes, drop in air filters, quality tires+rims, & custom E45 tune and hit mid 9's in the 1/4 on the street. The good thing about building out a S58/B58 XDrive platform is you dont have crazy transmission build costs like you do with a GTR. Thats really the only downside to that platform and why a lot of people choose to just roll race them. Replacing a fully built GTR trans has a $39k price tag attached to it, comparatively $15k for a ZF, and the GTR trans are known to fail a good bit for dig racing with a catch delay you have to figure out.. I think the B58/S58 XDrive have the superior trans for high hp builds, and its only a matter of time they are on a similar output level, as these platforms are just a couple years old in some cases. Time is the only real difference atm, and thatll continue to be mitigated as people continue to push the platforms forward. A bit more required for low 8's tho, haha... Should get the car towards the start of fall, and should be finished just in time to dial it in for next season. Looking forward to some fun in Mexico.. Its a shame Nissan didnt upgrade the GTR and release a new version. Would have been awesome to have a updated GTR for a few years before they discontinued. Def a loss for all of us who love performance cars. Same goes for Mazda with the RX7 and Mitsubishi with the Evo. Great platforms that make the roads a more interesting place to drive. While not every platform is everyone's preference, its nice we all have options to choose what we like best. With Ford's turbo 4cyl & 6cyl, I always thought they should release a new GT350 with a 4cyl(420-500hp range) or 6cyl(550-600hp), with all the preferred performance drivetrain, suspension offered on the higher end models, but with a primary focus on weight reduction. Go all out on weight reduction(Carbon hood, trunk, qtrs, lightweight rims, Ti exhaust, Ti lug bolts, Ti bolts & nuts where possible, back seat delete, ceramic brake option, etc) anything to take off more weight. Keeping aligned with the original GT350's purpose. Between a Darkhorse and a GT350 built in this way, I bet there could be a 500lbs difference or more(compared to a 4cyl), maybe 400lbs compared to a 6cyl variant. A slightly modded & tuned 550whp 4cyl weighing 450-550lbs less than a darkhorse, that would be an awesome platform for the backroads & track... Such a golden opportunity for Ford. They already have everything they need. I honestly thought about this so much, I seriously considered buying a GT, then selling the engine and having a 4cyl built for it, then do all the weight reduction mods myself. Though if I built this it would be in the 700-800hp range. I think that would be such a welcomed car, as long as Ford wouldnt psy out and offer it with just 300hp or something or didnt take weight reduction seriously. If they did it right, I think a lot of driver enthusiasts would welcome it. (People not hung up on "Why dont it have a V8")...

@@executiveinvestments S58's were first released in the X3m/X4m's but nobody seriously races SUVs. 2022 is when the M3/M4 XDrive platforms were released. The first year of the G80/G82 wre only RWD models. Which is when aftermarket started R&D for modification, after the XDrive M3/M4 were offered. Yeah there was a time when GTRs were maxed out at 1500-1600 too. IN 2 years the G80/G82 are already in low 8's, how long did it take a GTR to hit low 8's from launch? Also, how reliable is that transmission in the GTR when dig racing? WHats the costs of building it, and rebuilding, and building it again. Thats why most people prefer to roll race them. G80/G82 have the superior trans, and once the S58 has more time for R&D they'll be near that level. You dont need an aftermarket block for 1400-1500WHP. Just upgraded pistons, rods, studs, bearings. The only difference here is R&D time. Its like people comparing 2JZ to S58, in time the S58 will be there too. It takes time to push boundaries and find each upgrade needed for the next power level. R&D work wasnt widely pursued for the S58 until 2022. So 2.5 years essentially.

Great car, but if you want to compare apples to apples HP wise. Midnight ran a 7.90 on a stock unopened gen3 motor a couple of years ago with a twin turbo kit. I'd say the real advantage for the GTR is on the street, though. You ain't touching an AWD car on the street.
To be fair if you Twin Turbo Apollo and up injectors fuel etc it will be as much HP but the awd is the difference / and it’s not the GTR giving you the power to bump up boost, it’s the MOTECH you can put that in Apollo too,,,having said all that, yes I would trade my 22GT Whipple Stg2 Gen5 for that bad ass GTR!!

Never happened and never will.
Yeah I get that but that’s on a track you also missed the point a car that has heat AC and full interior on 18 in rim on a small tire to go 8s at 180 mph is stupid fast and the car will get mid 20s mpg and it’s not even all the way up 😂😂 like what else can you ask for ford motors are way stronger I know that

You can get a used 09 GTR for 60k with low miles FBO would cost maybe 8k with good parts and will run a 9s on a tire but the point of the video is that GTR is king but yes I would still take the mustang cause it’s obv a lot cheaper platform
