Anybody who truly cares about their relationship usually experience some form of anxiousness when they feel their partner is drifting away from them

I don't think that I will be able to justify investing my emotions much into relationships anymore. Sure, I'll be fun to be around. But I'll never have faith in "I love you," anymore. And regardless of how seemingly great things were today. I will treat it as the last.

mine proposed and told his daughter id be a step mom. she was so happy we planned a family trip and a romantic getaway. two weeks later he cheated and dumped me. moved a new woman into the apartment and told his kid that was her new step mom even though they never met. never let me say bye. i feel like im the avoident one now because i’m scared that anyone can leave me at any time i cant feel safe anymore. i followed your videos to win him back and i regained my confidence and learned that i deserve better. he learned the grass isn’t greener now he wants me back i don’t want him anymore. he met someone horrible and got scammed.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm not sure about your particular circumstance but self reflecting is also part of growth. Maybe you have made some mistakes that he didn't like or it was something constantly dragging him down environmentally or in the relationship that had an effect and vice versa. Or he could've just been a shitty person. In my case, although I seen the red flags I still loved her and she left bc I gave too much attention. How are you doing now?
@lindsay3793
@lindsay3793 Месяц назад
@@mr.k3322 Hi, thanks for asking! I'm still healing. My mistake was I made myself too available and affectionate to someone who does not want to be loved or reciprocate. Pretty sure he only wanted seggs, convenience, something temporary, or long distance even so that he would not feel threatened by the responsibility of closeness. I'm afraid of getting hurt again so I'm trying to take things slower. I kind of don't even trust myself anymore.
@mr.k3322
@mr.k3322 Месяц назад
@@lindsay3793 you should heal and obviously deserve better. I'd say to date for a longer time before getting into a relationship. Also of it helps just learn to enjoy your alone time doing things that you liked before or add things to like bc if you aren't able to you'll always miss the moments with your ex in that time. I'd say healing is not caring about their presence just like how they felt when they left you not to focus on the good memories instead to focus on the way they broke up.

I found my almost ex-husband to be highly self-indulgent on his loner hobbies, he’s just so independent. Funny thing is, he’s a complete man baby. He will refuse to participate in decisions aside from where or what’s for dinner. He was his own rockstar at work, where he spent the vast majority of his time. He acts as though he’s half dead when he gets home and fails to interact with myself or our 18 yr old daughter.

Wow! Chris! That is the most comprehensive look at this topic I have ever seen! And I think all your points are really true. Thank you so much for putting that together for those of us still struggling with how and why it happened. I think I have an anxious attachment style. But so did my ex. He was always very jealous of any ex boyfriend (now platonic guy friend) I talked to. The funny thing is, he's a super confident guy in most other areas of life. So, hmmm.....I never thought of him as having an anxious attachment style in the relationship. So your video has been a real eye opener and I think I will watch it every week just to remind myself that it wasn't all Me. ❤️🙏☺️

11:27 "no more layers to peel back" Otherwise, it is also a sign of the lack of intimacy: if you have intimacy, new and new layers appear, the bond deepens and the arousal of "newness" doesn't that big of a role. Imho, it is completely natural to be like that, it is a stage of relationships. It's froma arousal to love. First, it feeds off from curiosity, than you see, what you have and can decide whether you would like to tie yourself to that person or not.

I don't hear yall talk enough about people in long term relationships with an avoidante like 7 years plus and there were a combo of things that lead to the break up including anxious behavior from one partner and all the wrong actions were taking after the break up and an effective no contact can not be implemented first because there's a kid involved and she uses that as a reason to call or text even while in a rebound relationship, plus the one partner who's trying to get the avoidance partner back did not know about these videos until 6 to 7 months later. How can one still implement an effective no contact in such a unique situation?

I have a question: I'm going through a breakup with my husband that i have been with for 17 years. We have 2 beautiful children together. He loves out children as much as I do and very much apart of their lives. So naturally I see him all of the time. I officially moved out to my own place, but my question is, how do imploy the no contact rule as we coparent. I try just to text or call if it is regarding our children. I love him so much still but very much at this crossroads you talk about. Half of me is pushing myself to move on and the other half wants my family back? And seeing yout videos, he sounds like an avoidant for sure. Any advice on how to navigate a break up while trying to coparent. Thank you.

As an anxious attachment I am offended at your ridiculous representation of us. Changing an entire number and standing outside the toilet door worried they are texting someone LMAO, that is NOT anxious that is a little cray! As an anxious attachment style myself never have I blown up someone’s phone ever, in fact yes I’m anxious but I would never show them this. I will hold back , and see where their priorities are before investing completely (yes even though on my end I am secretly freaking out) but all this commotion you are talking about lol that is boarderline stalking . Thais Gibson explains anxious attachment perfectly , this was not it!

I'm confused I've never shown any indication that i would ever be violent towards him and I always said thank you to him and told him I enjoyed his food. So I don't understand why he dumped me.
