I always thought the G-Wagen was so popular because it was so narrow, eaiser in the Hollywood Hills. Any nimbler SUV would be a big step down in snob appeal, an Audi Q3 if not a Buick Encore.
Cipriani being a restaurant with low value reviews yet not having a problem staying in business usually means the establishement does not need "peasants" as customers and does not even care about them as their main income comes from a) special clientele (like very wealthy people that want to stay amongst themselves in a low key environment) or b) shady business and the restaurant is just a front. Or a mix of both :)
The bad reviews usually come from non regular wealthy customers who get triggered by how they are treated at the restaurant (Non VIP treatment) or maybe the waiting time is awful on weekends. Not because of the food quality
