yea he did so much for the ufc and added drastically to its growth. To be fair he beat cerone , lost to khabib (one of the best ever + undefeated), then lost to dustin after breaking his leg. Mcgregor vs chandler gonna be a great fight
@@FatherHerrmann I’m not a massive Conor fan but it’ll be a real feel-good moment if he wins. If McGregor finds his spark again the UFC will be ten times better
No one could compete in striking vs prime Conor he would hit u from wild angles, he still did it in the two modern dustin fights but ring rust was too much
Ye khabib owns because u cant elbow to top of head or hit back of the head. So he can use this to advance on opponent. If it was legal his strategy would be trash. But good for him exploiding the rules.
Eddie was the perfect matchup for this version of Conor. A wild swinging brawler, willing to put his chin out there and gets rocked in every fight. Conor was so precise I knew he was gonna get him within the first two rounds.
Connor is the best especially in striking we call it a real fight ground fight is not entertaining thats why when he lost in ground fight seems like its not counted therefore connor is still the best
That’s why if he fights chandler he has a good chance, but even if he does fight he will have had over 2 years off, with a permanent leg injury, he won’t be as good. He still could have a chance at sniping against a brawler tho.
It's really hard to tell in 'woulds'. But had they fought that night, given how good conor performed, it may be possible to visualize khabib having way more trouble than he had on october 6th 2018
I think Khabib still would've although it'd be a nightmare on the feet for him, Tony was a chance, he'd have to survive the first couple rounds first though.
@@asotyler9887 Except Conor did the best against Khabib out of all the top lightweights Khabib fought. Conor gave Khabib one of his toughest fights ever and was getting up from just about every takedown. Is Conor an offensive grappler? No, but his defensive grappling and takedown defense is some of the best at lightweight.
Guys, not only was this a master class. This was done going for the champ, champ..... giving this performance on the very first 2 division champ is simply magnifico!!!
Imagine if in an alternate timeline both ufc 205 versions of khabib and mcgregor were fighting each other at this event for a vacant belt. What a fight that would have been.
After this match Conor should stay at Lightweight and defend his title. This was his prime era. Conor also should chase the boxing match with Floyd, later. After winning the 100 millions, Conor lost his hunger and motivation
@@zulkhairizamri7136 lmao prime khabib only fought strikers, he would’ve been rag dolled in by the wrestlers in the weight class above him, he just a weight bully only top 50 all time, and hes only fought 9 top guys in his division, I bet your casual ass you don’t even know the 19 cans he fought before he was in the UFC.🤣🤣🤣
He's just a normal white guy facing a tiny little Mexican street gang member. Let's not forget why little brown boys have to join gangs in the first place. They're too tiny and weak to stand on their own against white men.
Love the way he set up the straight left & timed it with Eddie's defensive head movement. Watching fighters make reads is one of my favorite parts combat
Dude the way Conor held Eddie's leg back when he went in for the finish after that final four-hit combo was like a lion going in for the kill. McGregor in his prime was a fuckin animal, I'll never forget this era.
