I joined the National guard already MOS qualified. It took me 4 months after I got back from basic to get my bonus. My contract said that I would get it within 180 days of being MOS qualified and reporting to my unit. I found out that for a reason unknown to me, that my file wasn't fully transferred from RSP to my unit and as a result my bonus wasn't processed until I started asking questions.

That’s because your unit initiated the payment if your bonus. If you transferred from RSP to your unit say November through January, there was a brown out from the new system all three components of the Army is transitioning to halted all actions from being executed. Causing delays and issues like yours throughout the Army as a whole. Thanks for sharing! Your recruiter should have informed you to tell your unit to initiate payment and your unit should have asked about any possible bonuses. Glad you asked! You get it after you’ve completed training then right after you finish your units reception and depending on the time you signed you get another bonus on the same year you signed

Did you sign a Bonus Addendum the day you signed your enlistment contract? FYI, the most you could earn is $20k in any combination for bonuses. I think you may be confused too.

I signed a bonus addendum, and it does mentions the rules and it says I’m entitled to certain amount, but I just hope I didn’t get screwed, I wish someone would upload an example of the addendum so I can verify it. The entire reason I wanna do this, is for my bonus and SLRP I need that

Others addendums have nothing to do with your addendum. Rules change, policies change, etc… Refer to your Addendum and read it carefully and seek the answers you seek from your document. Another persons addendum is unique to them at the time they signed under the policies of that time. Good luck and best wishes. Reason asking is because im doing the whole six years on my first enlistment. Like the $50,000 enlistment bonus, cant i claim that at once?

That’s a regular army incentive and your recruiter can inform you of the updated info on the payment percentages and schedule. You’ll also receive a Bonus Addendum/document explaining everything… 🙏🏽

I have a GED and scored 76 on the ASVAB going to sign up for infantry in the national guard am I eligible for the bonus or do I have to have a high school diploma? Thanks

@@Chamuko_03Yes that will negatively impact your bonus. Get the flag removed ASAP. Refer to your Bonus Addendum for the details.
