I don't normally watch this station, but am very impressed with Markina Brown. She's so knowledgeable and articulate and obviously skilled at presenting this weather info. Thanks!
Great job Markina love the important information it’s so important I live in Los Angeles basin so I hope the rain is fast moving so it doesn’t dump all the rain at once especially the heavy rain that’s what concerns me and praying for everyone safety especially people in the desert I used to live up in hespria long time ago they said there going to get much more rain and deserts don’t have drainage so the water won’t have anywhere to go that’s frightening!! can’t wait till this tropical storm passes us all!🙏🏻
no its not... its bullshit... i live in palm springs California and we are only expecting a half an inch of rain 😂 literally nothing... the news is pumping up this shitty storm
This doesn’t look as bad as the 10” of rain we got over the winter in LA County. And those storms kept coming and coming. This one will be here and gone very quickly.
@@MrFloppy131 if you look up the rainfall we had in LA county this past winter, you will see that some areas got 10” in a 24 HOUR period. That’s a lotta rain in 24 hours. A tree fell next to my condo, there were some power outages. This is supposed to dump 4” in LA…. so yeah, I’m not worried. Edit: I looked it up. It was 9” over the course of a few days. So this may indeed be some catastrophic storm of the likes we’ve never seen before. I’ll report back on Monday.
This hurricane stuff is really just annoying to me in August. In California we have enough problems. We had a wet crappy winter and just want to enjoy our short summer in peace. Growing up here, I remember when we never had this kind of shit weather. We always had beautiful mild weather all year round.
Short summer weather? summer have been getting longer and hotter 💀😂 we had plenty of storms in the past watchu talkin about. Rain is always welcomed here in Cali lil bro. the last good rainfall we had was el nino in the 90's and some good storms in the early 2000's
Yeah just as I predicted scare tactics people lol when will u learn they scare u with fear im outside enjoying life while u wait for a storm good luck people I wish u well
Im hoping it degrades and rain light. It seems to be moving very slow unlike the Atlantic. Hoping it gets tracked under the Jet Stream of dying out around TX , NM. It has a high chance of dying out as soon as it hits mainland . Ive seen this a year ago with Atlantic but forgot the name of Hurricane...
Lol. How does buildings in LA interfere with a storm that is 40 thousand feet up in the air?? Where do you find these ignorant people to put them in front of the screen.
You are obviously unaware of the dynamics of a Hurricane. The winds are the strongest and most destructive at ground level and the winds get disrupted by obstructions on the ground like buildings and mountains.
