I think the worst ones are the San Jose hand pass and the avalanche offside because now we have 15 minutes review and goals are called off for being touch by a fingertip or 1mm offside 30sec before the goal
to talk about the 1999 finals but fail to mention why it was ruled a no goal, being that the referenced rule was changed in the middle of the season to allow this. That's why the call was actually correct and the proper call. It wasn't the refs ruining the nhl, it was NHL management by changing the rule mid season.
Makar's goal was a good goal. On the other angle we can clearly see the puck is far from Makar's stick and he touch it right after Nuchkuskin left the zone.
They did review that goal in 99, there was a substantial delay before it was declared a goal. Now if it hadn’t been allowed there’s no way to know if Dallas still wouldn’t have won the game or won game 7, if the Sabres had won. Still it hurt for Sabres fans. But good job on correcting a previous video that the Gelinas goal in 04 was reviewed and disallowed. It was not reviewed, as stated in this video.
I feel for sabres fans and their players …. But I still have PTSD from the 1999 playoffs …. So many goals called back … nothing made sense. Rule changed
