I had never heard of Ruby and a couple of years ago I came across a few of these interviews. The one with Zsa Zsa Gabor is hilarious. I watched the one with Imelda Marcos. Unbelievable how self centered this woman is. I fell in love with Ruby. She is so bold, forward, funny and intelligent.
Now it all makes sense on how Cosby , not gonna call you doctor you jerk ! , how he manipulates women makes them feels less than . He treated Ruby very poorly .
Right! It was so insightful, it was crazy to see Ruby shrinking into the corner of her chair, even with her bold, big, beautiful personality he just *diminished* her voice immediately. Awful!!
I never understood the whole “honorary doctorate degree” given to celebrities. Just how I cannot imagine how so many of the recipients of these “honorary doctorates” get so haughty and arrogant about being called “Dr.”
Cosby is being creative and open and helpful and Wax is being pathetic and trying to excuse her inability to communicate by claiming "he hates me". And he doesn't hate her, but he is slowly running out of patience with her teenager mentality, "I can't cope and it is because you don't like me." What a painfully insecure woman.

Ruby did so many incredible interviews and programs. The Marcos interview was.......an eyeopener. Her glances at the camera, the trip to the church......Utter brilliance
the Cosby interview went south right away because shed said her father called her an idiot for watching I spy his show. But he's threatened by her personality and his own ego has to make it all about him and his power over her
The Cosby interview, wow. He starts off with such disdain for this woman whom he doesn't even know. Smug doesn't even cover the level of his arrogance. His behavior is abusive towards Ruby. I guess this was his pattern.
god what an absolute monster cosby was. no question he abused all those women and clearly looks down upon women in general. and the way he just grabbed her by the neck as he pleased without even knowing who she was, shows just how controlling and tyrannical of a person he was. also love how he is so shocked he's talking to a woman who calls her own shots, as if a female who has a mind of her own and doesn't bow down and kiss his a** is somehow offensive to him....

I really think her is a hoot. I did "WW & The Dixie Dance Kings" in 1975. I was 1 of the teenage dancer in the dance contest. No I didn't win the contest, but I was o ly on set visiting a friend of mine who was IN the movie. Someone from make-up saw me sitting next to my friend & said, Come with me your make-up is all wrong for this Era." Do U think I said NO I'm not in this movie I'm just visiting my friend who IS in the movie? NO I did not. I went with her & got into the film & got a voucher at the end of the day & got paid for being in the movie. I also got Burt Reynolds( Burton Leon Reynolds Jr.) to autograph a photo of himself for me as well! I Hope I still have it in my things! Back then he wasn't funny, but as he aged he became extremely funny. I laughed a ton when he was imitating Marlon Brando!! I haven't had a good belly laugh like that in some time. I also learned of Ruby Wax via some guy on a dating appt. Glad I checked her out . She is such fun to watch. Reminds me of Joan Rivers just a little bitten a good way of course..
I do believe Cosby committed those crimes but he’s clearly joking here. They’re both in character. She’s in her annoying motor mouth character and he’s countering with a chastising parent character. I’m sure he’s also irritated by her in actuality but this thing of pretend calling someone every 2 seconds confirms it’s just a joke.
Cosny wanted to talk about growing up in the projects when he was too poor to own a cat and living on food his Mom brought home. Then Ruby made jokes He didnt like that.
Man didnt Ruby twist the knife in with Roseanne at the end that of that piece! They got on pretty well in that interview but she had say that little bit at end. I think she was very jealous of Roseanne success at the time. Both had very similar backgrounds and personality traits.
This just confirms my impression of Wax's interview with Imelda Marcos. Wax says "we were taking the p*ss out of her" and thought she was sending Marcos up. But I felt at the time that Mrs Marcos and entourage saw through her, were in fact totally unfazed by her, and if anything were sending up Ruby Wax
Wax is charming when interviewing Marcos in person, but says here 30y later that Marcos is a narcissist out of touch with reality. That's what I thought was Wax's attitude at the time she met Mme Marcos. Marcos saw through her but was completely unfazed and unconcerned. When media turn up for events like this, they tend to think that they themselves are the most important thing about it.
Four things: 1. Burt's techinique being funny is great. He seems to be a bad actor. Then he winks at viewrs because he knows we know what he is doing. 2. You never jeard bad things about Sally and Burt. Whoa, then him and Loni hit much later. They begat Kim and Alec. 3. Cosby also made, Fat Albert. FA was the groundbreaking cartoon that was a nonstereotypical cartoon about Black kids in the ghetto. It was based on him and his brother. It was produced 12 years before the Cosby Show. 4. Cosby's fall from grace broke America's heart, especially Cosby's and mine home town, Philly. Nothing can fix it and monster will never atone. I can't think of a greater fall. How long the pervert abused women is incredible. Many previous falls were unjustified or shouldn't have been as severe. Like Charlie Chaplin blacklisted to be rumored as a Communist. Some programs in all societies work best with Communism. As usual, the whole person is demonized, not just the belief. Wait, I can think one bigger, OJ.
For Ruby Wax to state "My job is not to pass judgement, it's just to look" whilst calling others out on *their* delusion shows a lack of self-awareness endemic within today's BBC. The fact that the producer included a clip of Huw Edwards passing judgement on Roseanne on the news, despite him now being publically exposed as a sexual predator, again, is jaw-dropping.

No dirt on you Ruby, it’s all Cosby. Women Ruby interviewed are such a joy (apart from Marcos), compared to this vile man, Simpson, Trump. How did the cast put up with this and why did he have a father of America role ? Surely something would have leaked out about it?
Any time she interviews someone who meets her with her own energy she thinks they don't like her or are abusing her. Madonna, Trump, Cosby...no..they just matched your own instigative energy.
