It's spelled "pheochromocytoma" I had one. A tumor on the adrenal gland that secretes extra adrenaline. If not removed will kill you. My heart rate at minimum was 110 WHILE SLEEPING. You get these crazy bursts of adrenaline rush for no reason. You sweat constantly. They're pretty much undetectable until you get a special scan. Most people just think they have anxiety and take anti anxiety meds. Then they have a heart attack at age 30 with no heart problems. It's rare,but totally curable. If you catch it

Clarence is... Almost sympathetic. Especially when this comes up. His first three murders all had rrason, if not justification. A cheating partner, a man who stabbed him first, a guard who abused him. He doesnt feel guilty of those. He feels not only guilty but downright ashamed of his last kill. The man who did nothing to deserve it.

One thing every medical show seems to get wrong: The magnets powering the MRI machines are always on unless they have to be off for maintenance. The amount of time it actually takes for an MRI to fully power cycle off _(in a non-emergency)_ and back on again takes hours. You're talking a whole day of appointments that now have to be shuffled around with all the other days of fully booked appointments because somebody decided to walk in the room with a paperclip. Though, an MRI _can_ fully dissipate its magnetic field in an emergency if it essentially destroys parts of itself.

Not the only one. You don't have to like the person suffering to be disturbed by the infliction of unnecessary pain. In fact, not opposing torture even for the worst is actually letting said "worst" set your moral bar for you.
@thekamotodragon
@thekamotodragon 11 месяцев назад
@@michaelccozens ik old comment, but brother, that's not very moral what you're describing, true morality includes perfect justice, seeing that mass murderers suffer (who this character was portrayed as) is a just action and gives his victims some retribution for their suffering at his hands. You should be happy to see someone like this character suffer because justice is being carried out and the world is achieving balance in the process through karmic retribution. Wanting the best treatment for everyone, no matter who they are, isn't good morality because it's inherently selfish, it's only so you can feel good about yourself, but it's not what's right, and it's not what is deserved karma-wise, if that makes sense. Some people objectively deserve punishment, that's just the way it is, and i think many people out there only think otherwise because they've never been the victims or known victims of crimes like this themselves.
@jonathanbirch2022
@jonathanbirch2022 Месяц назад
@@thekamotodragon idk where you’re getting your warped view of morality from, but it’s not okay to torture someone jus because they committed crimes. That goes against the universal declaration of human rights as well as the US Constitution, alongside many laws that forbid cruel and unusual punishment. Otherwise it’s a slippery slope to where innocent people merely accused of crimes start getting tortured as well.

My mom had a pheochromocytoma, she also was pregnant with me. Her doctors told her over and over to have an abortion because being pregnant would almost certainly kill her and I absolutely wouldn’t survive even if she did live, they even took the extra step to try and get a court order to force her to have one. My dad told them if they got one, she would run and then she really would die. When she was 6 months pregnant they removed her tumor and before surgery, they told her to say goodbye to me because I was about to die. First thing she asked when she came to was if she was still pregnant and the nurse patted her hand and said yes. Even with all of that, I was carried to term. Her doctor wrote an article in a medical journal because in 1985, it was a miracle we both survived.

the B plot with Cameron fascinated me most in this episode. Was the girl the first person she ever had to tell was going to die? I want an AU of this where House did have to give her the diagnosis and he made Cameron either do it herself as a learning thing or make her stand there and watch. He's not uncompassionate. He'd be able to do it in a way that Cameron could adapt and do her own way
