After seeing the doomsday cgi i now understand why budget cuts were made. That CGI is phenomenal and im sure they wanna keep it that way. Sad that other cast members have to pay the price for it tho.
This isn't bad CGI but it isn't good either. The animation is almost stop motion and its inconsistent. Its doesnt even look like they even used path tracing for rendering but rather something simple like GI. The textures roughness and/or normal map is terrible and that's why he looks like he is glossy in area he shouldn't be. They could have done better with Unreal Engine 5 and simply using Lumen. His body doesnt have a rock-like roughness in which is weird because these PBR textures are free.
And writers. Honestly CW should've just gave it to HBO. If CW ruins the best live adaptation of Superman we've got like they did all their shows I'm gonna act a fool 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
I love how this doomsday's origins is similar to the og doomsday's origin, the og doomsday was an infant that was constantly being thrown out into the dangerous wilderness of ancient krypton over and over again untill it became doomsday, this one was bizzaro being tortured over and over and over again untill becoming doomsday
@@jamesmcclaren9759 The TV show, Krypton (a show that was better than I expected it to be) actually covered Doomsdays origin, with a Kryptonian scientist killing the person who becomes Doomsday over and over again to make him immune to those ways of killing him.
One departure from previous incarnation, says that Lex is not wearing a business suit. The visual of him with a long beard and regular clothes symbolizes his fall from Grace and the depravity of his personality shows a lot more. This is war. And you feel the tension between Superman and Luthor in the first scene. Old foes once more squaring off in a war of words. Fighting for different causes.
Lex Luthor is just a cruel and evil man. Torturing Bizarro until he became Doomsday, all so that he can kill Superman. The Doomsday design in this series is still better than the BvS Doomsday design. The first round of this Superman vs Doomsday battle goes to Superman, and it was pretty good.
It’s far from “better” than the one in BvS. The model and its animation seem rushed and/or beginner level by the way it looks like they rendered it using something similar to EVEE and not path tracing.
Felt really bad seeing Bizarro get turned into Doomsday but man so glad they had enough money for this show to have these good CGI effects ever since season one felt like this show was a hour long movie
@@ISolicitous I know it has only been 2 episodes, but I already found Lex Luthor more interesting than Tal-Rho to which i have rather mixed feelings of him being Superman's half-brother on this show
Yeah, this is a massive nerfing of Doomsday. Very cool Doomsday and adequately dominant for first pass. But he would be way more durable than that and plus the endless reviving and strengthening problem. That was botched. But how do you run that in a show? It would never end, subvert any other storyline, and couldn't keep up with it.
I posted a video essay about Superman & Lois 👀 I liked the twist with the ELT. I thought he would use it to summon Superman. Also, what is Lex’s contingency plan if Superman dies? I know he seems to think he has control over Bizarro/Doomsday, but I would be surprised if he was that vain. He’s gotta have something else in case things go wrong.
Black holes are too far away and it's very likely Doomsday will survive the sun. Don't forget, he still has his original Bizarro powers like flight so Doomsday isn't going to just stand still and let Superman throw him into the sun or a black hole.
He's not quit dead yet. When will these hero lean to make sure they're dead. I doubt if he would have come back if he were dismembered into little monster pieces.
I love this show I truly do this was amazing but my only question is .....how is lex controlling that thing and how did it not get him to attack him during the torture scene ..
When Lex found Bizarro he observed him and later “took care” of him. Then he made a deal with him to keep “killing” him what turned Bizarro into Doomsday. So I guess that’s why Bizarro doesn’t attack Luthor.
This version of Doomsday is ten times better than what we got in BVS and I like the idea of Bizarro becoming Doomsday as an origin, but something about a Doomsday that can fly doesn’t feel right
Superman doesn't want John, Nat or Jordan getting involved. Because he's afraid they'll be killed? Or because he's afraid that *he'll* be killed and the world will need other heroes if that happens?
Dang, is it just me or does the Doomsday in this kinda look like one of those Tyrant characters from the Resident Evil games..?? I've watched alot of gameplay videos lol.
Year 11 Arrowverse Big Bads Ranked 1. E-TUD25 Lex Luthor 2. Bloodwork 3. Eddie Thawne/Malcolm Gilmore/Cobalt Blue 4. Bruno Mannheim 5. E-9 Brother Blood 6. Negative Speed Force 7. Mother Mayhem 8. Red Death
@@JoelMiller431 it is not part of the arrowverse at all and the showrunners have made that clear that they wanted to put their own stamp on the Superman property in their own stamp on Lex it's the arrowverse fans that are spreading the false narrative that it's part of the franchise and it's not.
@@SupermanJL 🤦♂️ dude, the whole separate earth thing is clearly a FORCED retcon. How can this Clark and Lois have knowledge about the multiverse while they were investigating John Henry Irons in Season 1? Not to mention John’s whole background was very clearly Crisis related. Heck, we even have the same actors that played these versions of Superman, Lois, Lucy, AND John Diggle. Believe it or not, Superman & Lois is the last remaining Arrowverse show!
Nope. This is a neat twist, sure. But the actual character and story of Doomsday from the comics was way better. As well as design. This is the best-looking live action Doomsday but the bar is really low.
Ok what they done with doomsday here is wrong, in comics doomsday is incapable of following comands from humans . He is a monster that likes to kill and destroy everything that lives
@@Daveyboy_GolfR Yeah people always have other opinions about the different Doomsday appearances but then again those appearances were from other shows/movie with different kind of budgets. To each their own.
I just don't understand WHY THEY KEEP CHANGING DOOMSDAY'S ORIGIN SOTRY?!?! Its not like its the Jocker, who doesn't have an established back story. JUST KEEP OT TO THE ORIGINAL STORY!!! It is a good back story.
