Excellent video and excellent advice.I have used Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash with great results.I also recently tried Feynlab Pure Rinseless which simply cleans and leaves nothing behind on the panels to interfere with bonding when you apply your own protectant/wax etc.

Fantastic tutorial. I have to try ONR, very versatile. I have been using 3M Waterless Wash & Wax. it comes in a 16oz. can, it's a foam so it stays on the panel, avoiding runoff. If you have a wax or sealant on your car you can use it as a bug spray or to clean your windshield. I think I paid less than $4.00 at Ross. I have to buy more, it's very convenient on long trips when you don't have to do the entire vehicle.

Phil very informative video, the Turle Wax Product Preview is paying dividends for all who were able to attend. 1. I'll do a rinseless wash, summer only, as you said when the dirt is light (falls from the sky, great explanation btw). I have a black truck, and I'll do it one to times a week with the Big Red Sponge, and ADG Wipeout. To keep it looking nice. 2. Ill do a hybrid wash if I have heavy stuck on dirt at the bottom. I use a foam gun (not a foam cannon) attached to a hose, foam the lower portion, rinse, then using multiple mitts and the foam gun in one hand I continually spray in front the mitt, so lead the mitt with the foam gun. I'll then do the rest of the truck rinsless, all in all it's still a time saver. 3. Waterless only for spot cleaning. I keep a bottle of Optimum Waterless wash, and platinum towels in my truck, if i come out and see bird droppings, water spots, etc., I break out the Waterless Wash and towel(s).

Hi good lookin' lol! I just bought a brand new 24' beautiful metallic Saphire Blue ( called blueprint) Toyota Hylander, leather interior, omg its gorgeous! Looks more deep Navy in regular light, but a sparkly Sapphire blue in sunlight! I GOT to keep this car looking good! I have only ever used a car wash, Aqua Clean, here in San Diego, CA...they do a pretty good job actually. I wanted to look into using a simple waterless product for touch ups between washes with water, unless I really don't need the car wash unless " ground up" as you call it really dirty after a good rain. My car is kept in my garage. Thank you for a nice explanatory video actually using a couple waterless favorites. Now I just got to buy. I suppose Auto Parts stores carry these products or to call first. Thank you again. My wonderful husband Jim, only 55 years old, healthy & fit, who I lost to to a fluke fatal accident, falling 10 feet on his head. It was 35 years of a great marriage over in 1 night....omg, he was amazing treated me like a queen, could do anything around the house, how I miss him! He'd be proud of me learning & using these techniques & products!❤

True... but remember the technology behind waterless and rinseless products is that they encapsulate particles and hold them. Water does that naturally...true it doesn’t hold them as well as the added polymers in those products do but the principle is the same. The more water the better.

Great video man! I do have a question though. You stated that we shouldn't do either method if there's dirt from the ground going up, how about during the winter? I live in Nebraska where we live below freezing most of the winter. I'd like to keep my car clean but a traditional wash is out of the question.
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 4 года назад
Thanks. Good point. There are ways of doing a mix of both. Maybe pre rinse with a large pump spray or hot/warm water and soap to get heavy dirt particles off and then do a Waterless Wash. Have done that before and it’s safe enough.

To be honest I have never done a RW. And have just WW a couple of hoods and roofs LOL. I understand the concept of RW and WW but just don't feel comfortable to be doing them. Then it's also much about I let it go to far in between the washes so I always have dirt build up from the ground as the TW made a very great explanation to when and when not to use them. Maybe in the summer months here in Sweden I can find the conditions to be doing either of them. But during the other seasons the vehicals just gets too dirty. One thing though that I thinking about this winter if the temperature is not under the freezing point. Is to take the car to a coin-op wash bay and pretreat with a traffic film remover and use the water pressure from the PW to clean with. Then do a DI water rinse off and then finishing up with a WW or RW at the bay or beside it. Have had Carpro EcH2O for a couple of years. And I use it mainly for a QD and do a wipe down with it after the wash and drying. Also at WW dilution I clean the door jambs and other jambs and the engine compartment with it. Impressed by it's cleaning ability from it and the lubrication. So I'm warming up to be feeling it be safe on the paint LOL Great video Phil!

So I'm getting a car shipped from PA to Chicago this Thursday. We are supposed to get rain and snow here. I'll have to drive my new to me car home a couple miles after it get unloaded. I will probably get a little dirty and salty on the drive home. I have some Griots Spray on Wash and some TW Hybrid that you showedin this video. Would either of those be ok as a waterless wash or should I look for some thing better? ONR maybe. I'm not that far from Car Guy Supplies. Can't leave it dirty. Won't have a chance to wash it for a while.
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 3 года назад
Hi! If it’s going to be that dirty I wouldn’t do a waterless or rinseless wash. It could be risky and possibly mess up the paint. It would be best to wash it traditionally that way it’s safer. Or you could bring it in to Chicago Auto Pros and they can take care of it! They can give you some pointers on what to use to care for it yourself! Tell them Philip sent you!
@Super1prettyboy
@Super1prettyboy Год назад
I have found the TW 3 in 1 to be hard to remove. If you’ve already protected your car, the 3 in 1 theoretically masks the properties of your underlying coating. I wish they just made a pure waterless wash.
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing Год назад
Really? That’s strange! I found a damp towel helps to remove any smear I was or residue. But I never had issues removing it that much. Also I never use waterless or rinseless washes on coated vehicles. But toppers are also going to “mask” to a degree, any coating. But that’s how coatings are maintained as well.

What is the best waterless wash to use during the winter to remove all the salt and road brine? It gets too cold sometimes here in Canada to use any garden hose or coin shop wash. Will never use a traditional gas station car wash but even those are sometimes closed due to the coldness.

IMO, there's not a difference between a waterless and rinseless wash. Rather you use a soaked towel from a bucket or soak a towel with the waterless wash, it's the same once the paint is touched.
@MirandaDetailing

The Rinseless Wash adds way more lubrication when cleaning. But maybe its just thinking and experience.
@justinmyatt7109
@justinmyatt7109 4 года назад
@@MirandaDetailing this is a topic I've always went back and forth with on my own. Let me pick your brain on this. Let's use ONR in this example. Same dilution in a bucket and spray bottle. You have a soaked towel in a bucket with the rinsless wash and you soak the towel before applying in the waterless wash situation . Is it not the same exact thing , just one way you are getting the cleaner from a bucket and the other way a spray bottle ?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 4 года назад
I see what your saying.. I guess if you really soak the towel and panel with your waterless solution as much as the soaked towel in ONR then yes, it would work the same way. I guess many people who use waterless wash products don't do that because they just spray and wipe, and it uses so much product, and potential for dry rubbing, and it costs a lot for a separate waterless wash product. But if you use ONR as a waterless wash and/or rinseless wash then it's certainly cost-effective. For us (and I mean you and I) who know better and know how to use these products, we understand, I try to make my videos for people who may not fully understand or know how to use the products correctly and safely... I think that's why I get people will try to correct my way of doing things...It's not that I don't know or don't get it. I'm trying to simplify things so people understand.👍🏼
