Black Flag might have had too many chase/tail missions relative to other mission types, but when they worked, they REALLY worked. The cinematic-feeling tension in AC gameplay peaked in the 360 era.
So true and it has one of a kind tail missions on ship. I still cant forget that mission where you have to navigate this ship through some really shallow and muddy waters and tail simultaneously. The tension build up in that mission is insane. Also the four legendary ships are hard AF. I am currently playing AC Rogue only the fourth legendary ship is tough af which Storm Fortress rest are easy. God, Black Flag is one of a kind.
@@bruddahZone The ship tailing missions were definitely the height of the tailing missions in the game IMO. While it may be a little silly to secretly tail someone with a ship with 100 foot tall masts, it is FUN. I didn’t like how many tailing missions on foot there were, that’s probably my least favorite classic AC mission structure. But, the rest of Black Flag more than makes up for it. At the very least, I got to look at the beautifully unique (for the series) scenery while impatiently wishing that the on-foot tailing would hurry up and end, which is more than I can say for most of the other classic-style AC games’ tailing missions.
