Gus is still the scariest villain I’ve seen in a long time. His no nonsense, robotic, sociopathic attitude with everything is just so chilling. Also it’s a fact: you can NOT trust a drug addict

It’s funny that Walt claims to be a careful man. But he ends up doing some of the most reckless things ever.

I love the irony that Gus would eventually trust Jesse more than Walt.

Crazy how I rewatch this scene like five times lately and now you make a video on it

After looking at this in hindsight, I would say that Walt actually does pretty well in as far as his negotiations with Gus in this moment, he handled himself pretty well, until he asks the question if whether or not he will hear from Gus because it demonstrates neediness and weakness on his part, something that Gus, being a master manipulator will exploit later on.

I love how much of this was all Giancarlo Esposito. The way he played Gus wasn't originally in the script, but he intentionally wanted to play a character you'd HAVE to know more about. He wasn't even going to be more than a side character that appeared a few times originally. Definitely hit the bull's eye with that goal.

Normally on a video like this I'd say "They're actors so you're reaching on all the body language ticks," but I absolutely know for a act Esposito was doing it on purpose and have no doubt Cranston was too. It's like watching two grand masters face off.

I love these kinda of vids but imo you skip on alot of non verbal communications. Im not going to point out alot of em but a great example is 3:12. Seriously surprised you skipped over this one.

You did great but I had another theory. So…quick and to the point. #1 The long breath was from being bothered. Someone came into his territory and interrupted his tasks. He isn’t under stress, he is annoyed. #2 He keeps his hands on the table only while he is moving or shifting his weight. This again just comes to him not being nervous. He doesn’t keep his hands on the table because he has more discipline. I also think it was added because it shows amazing juxtaposition between the two. Literally in every way they are opposite. Gus grew up hard and knows, Walter is green and hopeful.
