But it's less about Drake and Kendrick being equally rich artistically, and more about the two of them both being titans of hip-hop -- even if Drake is obviously more pop-adjacent, while Kendrick is closer to actual rap. They represent two very important, influential sounds in the genre, and they're on similar sizes in terms of reach and popularity (in fact Drake is on a larger scale by ample margin) Besides, how is one of the biggest artists in the world getting accused of cooperating in a pedophile and human trafficking ring not something people will care about lol

@@edoardobrunomazzitelli717 huh thanks for the thought out response. theyre rare haha. yeah i understand the popularity and size, even if drakes popularity and riches are definitely much more doable in our modern age. an age where we dont have to go out and buy albums, and instead you just hop on spotify, listen to his song once, then clubs blast it and he has billions of plays. it just feels surreal that having some (legitimately) catchy enough tunes that have at this point been scientifically deconstructed on how to create, can lend him so much credibility as to how "influential" he is. I dont hate him or anything its just so odd to consider him important in any way just due to his wealth. he measures his own success by his money which says everything one would need to say. as for the human trafficking, pedophilia and adjacent crimes...just reminds me of how people just seem so full of shit with that? these things come out and people immediately dismiss them or make excuses for celebrities being creeps and suspicious and it takes another celebrity a decade/decades later talking about it for people to actually treat it seriously. even then, even if there was literal video evidence, fans would stay, and no one would see prison time. though talking about this stuff would just make it longer and about the rich so ill stop here i guess.

Basically Drake and J. Cole made a collab song titled First Person Shooter, and in the song, Cole said "We the big three like we started a league", and Kendrick took it personally for some reason, so he said on a collab with Metro Boomin and Future titled Like that "F the big 3, it's just big me".

as a non-rap fan I watched a video to explain it essentially what I gathered is: Kendrick Lamar poked fun at a lot of rappers in one of his songs, but Drake took it really personally and started beefing with Kendrick. From what I gathered they were kinda at a standstill but it escalated after Drake’s diss made fun of Kendrick getting raped (which didn’t actually happen) Kendrick also accused him of being a pedohile, which riled him up too
