I needed this. I just walked away. It hurts. I don't get why he waited for me to do it, or could let me cry myself to sleep every night, or why it took me so long. It hurts letting go but staying hurt more. I just dont know how to not be sad about it all even though i know it all. Youd think id be happy, or love myself enough to not go through that, yet here i am

Be proud of yourself. You found the courage to walk away. You will experience all sorts of emotions...allow yourself to feel them, you're entitled. Eventually you will be happy again, you will smile again, then you'll ask yourself. Why didn't I leave sooner? Whatever you do, don't ever go backwards...Love and light. ❤

Thank y'all for the much needed support. I really appreciate it. I don't do well with walking away even though I should do the not going backwards part I really needed to hear because sometimes I do consider going back even though I know it's stupid. I'm in therapy already so that helps. It still isn't easy. I never really get much support in general so it's really refreshing ❤️ I hope you are all thriving and conquering the battles you may not speak of as well guys

This is so crazy. But first off I love rabbits and have one named Gizmo lol. I actually gave him a crystal rabbit and that’s kind of our thing. Second, there’s a cultural difference as well. He’s 100% Greek. Third, there’s an age gap too! What is y’all’s age gap? There’s 17 between us. I’m older.

😢I get the point, youre saying well all that is ok. Im going through hard times with my partner, we are 10 yr living together, no marriagw no kids. Hes 9 yr older, I was so young didnt know what real love is, and last years its harder, draining me, till I learn that he has traumas, and is avoidant type ,so he doesnt reciprocate love. I always fight for ur relationship, and first years it was amazing, we were besties. But then all changes, and getting worse in every area. I fell like he never cherished me, since he doesnt know his own value, and has child traumas. Family pressuring to ger married, but know I dont even know or want that anymore. Im so exhausted. So can we walk together in unequal ways for the rest of lifes. 😢 We are christians . Blessings💐

This is perfect!! thank you so much. I thought we had it together, thought I didn't need anymore advice. Then I realized I'm forcing communication and he is not interested in changing. I am clearly not the one. I am not getting a return on my investment. Its best to cut ties now and move on. It's only been 3 months, I hate to waste time and a dime. I’ve been stuck on the difficulty of communication. I have become exhausted, and realize I’m doing all the work. I know the person is smart enough to understand. At this point, if I offer help/recommendations that clearly are correct measure and they don’t work with me, I just shut it down/walk away realizing their life may not change until they want it to change. They have been stuck in inaction to change their situation. It’s just been mind boggling….

People, pray for the will to say no at the beginning when your heart says no so that you don't lose years and leaving becomes complicated. I used to be excited to travel for work and when it was time to get back I was filled with sorrow. Once at baggage claim I couldn't recognize my bag. It was the last bag on the pulley, everyone had picked their bag but I kept saying it wasn't mine. That's when I realised I was going mental. A q to leave.

But don't some of those long 30 year + relationships go through lots of tough times? Two ladies at my job have been married for over 20 years. Both their husbands have long term girlfriends. Neither of them like it but they've learned to live with it. Is that what it takes? That's crazy to me... Seems like those older couples make it work no matter what.

I’m so happy for myself to really have put the work into healing me learning me loving me to then be able to put myself out there after all the fail long term relationships I’ve had …. I can honestly now see who I was before when I would look away from the red flags , put up and deal with disrespect etc …. Going from that to being able to see all the red flags within a week and sometimes as long as a month .
