As an Indian I would suggest you try henna with a spoon of coffee and an egg..it will smoothen your hair..and you can also add 2 spoon of olive oil..let it stay for 2 to 3 hours and wash with water only that day and apply some hair oil after that and let it stay over night..and next day shampoo your hair..it will make your hair silky smooth because henna makes hair rough.. give me the review please🙂

Hi Elise, when I have used Dylon washing machine dyes in the past, I have always washed items first so they are wet, secondly I remember the packaging saying you could only put a small weight in with one pod, so basically one or two items so they have room to move and get fully saturated 👍👍👍

We’ve all been there with trying to grow out the hair color, it’s just so hard to persist with it when you don’t feel good about yourself. I have finally let my natural grey hair grow out, it took three years, but I’m happy I did it, and I get lots of compliments on it, which I find a bit strange. Anyway, the point of this comment is to say, do what makes you feel good, and your hair looks lovely! ❤️🌻

As someone who’s naturally dirty blonde also with lighter eyebrows, dying my eyebrows brown recently for the first time has been such a game changer. It saves you time when doing make up, frames your face better and gives you more expression. I don’t know why I never thought about dying them earlier.❤️😅

You look wonderful in shades of purple and plum. If you think the hair and eyebrows are too strong, wash with a mixture of clarifying shampoo and baking soda-that will relax the color somewhat. ❤️

I've been a home dyer pretty much my whole life. And one very important step that you've been skipping, is to soak the garments in water first. They should be wet (don't neet to be dripping wet), so that all the fibers are equally saturated and will absorb the dye in a homogenic manner. Hope this tip helps.

@@EliseBuch maybe next time you can try out soaking them by hand (in a bucket or basin and then wring out by hand) and also inserting them in the machine more loosely, not folded. See if that works out better 😘

Yes! And what I also do is to add additional 3 or 4 liters of water into the machine on top of the clothes and then dissolve the colour (powder) and pour this solution over the stuff/pieces before starting the machine..

It was easier to dye stuff back when wash machines were top loading. You could fill up the washer add the dye / turn it in to mix / stop 🛑 then add the material . Turn back on to agitate for a bit then stop and let sit for a bit and repeat. This way the dye did not settle into creases etc. when it appears the colour is to your liking you set the machine to drain. No mess. Letting clothes sit for any long length will cause dye to settle into folds etc.

I totally agree about the top loading washers. I will mourn deeply when my 34 year old machine stops working. I dye my black pants and jeans about once a year to deepen the color.

But you can dye in front loaders perfectly well! I'm from Europe/Germany (we don't have toploaders), and I do it since I'm a kid! Research Simplicol for example.

Sometimes, dyes have special instructions just for synthetic fibers. Hopefully a second round will even things off. Love how the others came out!💕

For the tie dye, it's very very useful when you wet evenly the garments before colouring them. I usually give them a short program wash in the washing machine, and then put the bucket of coloring powder and let the long program go. It works magic! 😎

I persevered and did let my hair grow out which, I had colour light whitish blonde for years and thought my hair was grey, As it grew out, I found I am actually a natural platinum blonde, who knew. 3 years of patience paid off for me. Your hair colour looks good. I was concerned about the brow, but they turned out great. Can’t wait to see your new kitchen next video. To rescue the fails, you could get a dark brown and then either ice dye or tie-dye them, that will disguise weird patches and make it look intentional. The sunflower one is my fave omg 😭I do love brown though, it's my fave colour. 🥰 Your hair turned out great, do what you wanna do! I grew out a pixie cut and the transition lengths were a nightmare LOL

Your hair is beautiful. I colored my hair with henna for almost 30 years. It finally got to the point where I had to dye it every 2 weeks because of the root growth. That was way too often, so I let it just grow out. It took at least 2 years before I finally was rid of all of the henna color. It's been 3 years now since I've colored my hair and I still miss having my red hair.

I love all your videos. If you boil hibiscus flowers in water with frnigreek seeds and add to henna powder along with coffee powder it will moisturize your hair and give a shine to it.

I use henna! I do my back area section by section and then switch to the side and top and other side. I also use a squeeze bottle like for ketchup or mustard. It's good to use to target just the roots. I absolutely adore henna and I've used it since 8th grade!

I had my first Henna when,I was 15,I loved it since then colored my hair often but now it is white and plan to leave it that color. Sometimes I think of coloring it or wearing wigs but have accepted this is who,I am at this age. Your hair is beautiful and the copper is the best color for you. be careful with dying your eyebrows use Vaseline around your face outline on the back of your neck and all over your ears and hands ( put Vaseline on hands before putting on the gloves) Vaseline keeps the skin from turning colors. It is always best to have a professional hair color but if you do it yourself make sure you start at the roots and work down the length unless your length needs more color. start at the bottom and work up,towards roots but wear a long plastic cape or duster. or long wrap around bath towel.

I found out throughout the years that prewashing your garments with a good quality detergent - Woolite? - and one cup of vinegar, will totally remove those greasy dirt patches that cause the odd spots you had been experiencing after dyeing your garments. Vinegar is a great substitute for fabric softener as well. Try it. You won't be disappointed 😉

I agree and I'm a hairstylist. Been using henna many yrs. It is good for your hair!!! I used to sleep w it in my hair overnight. You need to cover it w plastic to keep it moist and keep it warm, heat helps it take better.
