I never get tired of learning new information about henna or any ayurverdic herbs. I Truly appreciate all the knowledge you share. You're a great educator.
Luv. "Chemicals ain't got nothing on Henna" and Henna & Indigo ain't got nothing on my grays. Thanks for all you do to educate and protect the natural hair community.
You helped me so much in undestanding the matter. I watched a lot of your videos. Thank you! I am very grateful and now feel way more confident when making decisions.
Thank you!! I’m not sure how you would do this but if you could do a video where you test out all the henna sooq henna colors on hair and maybe do a few cassia combos that would be amazinggggg
I ordered and Received henna products from your website, you are always very helpful and informative! I just mixed my powders and liquids! I am hoping to refresh my hair in time for my birthday : ) thank you!!!
Honestly needed to hear that bit about doing henna even if my stylist doesn’t approve. I figure I’ll use my permanent copper color from Schwarzkopf on my roots every month to lift my level 8 roots enough to have the copper be more vibrant when I do the henna. My old hair stylist friend who was a natural redhead used henna to help make his more vibrant so figured it’s safe enough if using the right stuff 😅. I love the orangey copper look as one can see from my profile picture 😅
And yes congratulations on the new store in Columbia.. My idea works😂 regards Dr. Gauri but try another idea in India too. I appreciate all the products and looking for franchise
Thank you so much for this video! I appreciate it so much. I just dyed my hair with henna and indigo and it took me three times to get it right. My family found my carrot orange hair too be fantastically funny but I wasn't too worried about it because you said it could be a process. So thank you for that. ❤
if anyone else out there is wanting to be adventerous but don't want to risk their whole head of hair i really suggest snipping 3 locks of your hair off, get 2 or 3 inches of hair or more per piece. keep one in a bag and don't do anything to it and use the other two as test pieces to see how lightening or darkening your hair will go. i had long hair that i cut very short one summer and i kept a whole ponytail to test on. also i wish so much to try henna dye in the future and i want to play with both reds and blues to see what my hair takes to best. i used to keep very bright red hair and i miss it but i also recently discovered blue hair and i love that, too. hmmm choices, lol.
As a newbie to henna I truly appreciate this video. Many thanks. I have one question though; Is it possible to mix two colors (brown and black, from the same brand) and put that mix in your hair?
Hello. You may try and do so. We have a complete guide that you can follow here: hennasooq.com/blogs/frontpage/complete-guide-how-to-color-your-hair-with-henna-and-indigo/.
Thank you. The info on the timing is really helpful. I'm having problems preventing the copper tones on my grays. Also can I dye with Henna and use the Goddess or you teas in the same month. Me and my hair are both still learning how to be a healthy natural
Hi, this will be my first time using Henna & Indigo, and i saw a lady on youtube using your products to dye her hair black & some greys, same as my condition right now. she mixed henna, aloe vera, and apple cider vinegar as her liquid to mix ingredients and her results look beautiful. I want to ask is it best to use apple cidar vinegar or distilled water as the liquid to mix, I have your products too, the Moroccan henna, Organic indigo and Organic and Aloe Vera powders
Thank you for answering so quickly. I will use distilled water and maybe add a little ACV as a add on and then and see how that turns out, Thanks again
Can you add some Sedr powder along with aloe vera powder to henna for mucilage/slip or will it alter it? My plan is to do a two-step treatment for BLACK hair. ❤
It depends on your pregnancy for sure. So always consult your midwife or doctor. It is a natural way to color your hair so typically better then chemicals but please check with them first.
I have cool tonned skin and light brown hair. I don't suit very dark hair and want to use henna. Im struggling to find a shade I think will suit me. Maybe I will try go for a ruby red, bright and deep. Im not sure what kind of henna to use to achieve this.
Please what is the difference between Red Raj and Rajasthan henna. I want red. My hair is white grey. Unfortunately people with white grey dont want red so l havent seen that transformation 😢 Would l need to add Indigo? However, l dont want to end up red. My hair is frizzy and become coarse. Not copper. 🥰
Error l don't want to end up brown. Using Red Raj and Rajasthan. What is the difference? I am white grey with loose curl no definition, and dry. frizzy hair I want to be red. Not primary red nor copper. May be a shade below primary red. Would l need to add a touch of indigo. However, l am afraid of becoming brown. Thanks 🎉 l do have a picture of the red. I have been many colours in the chemical range even primary which suited me, copper for about 5 yrs eventually a friend told me copper doesn't suit. me. It faded but l used a toner between shampoos,. 🎉 🥰
Hello! Red raj will color your hair rich red tones while Rajasthani is burgundy tones. Can you clarify which color you'd like to achieve because you said you like red and then you don't want to end up red?
and then after dye release you can combine them and get a range of brown tones depending on proportions used. Here's a very good article I wrote on this: hennasooq.com/blogs/frontpage/complete-guide-how-to-color-your-hair-with-henna-and-indigo/
Can you compare the reds you carry side by side on different colored strands? I am not sure which one to choose because the women on the website have dark hair.
I followed your fool proof video to dying my hair black and it WORKED! Thank you!!! I’m waiting 3-4 days for the color to settle. Do you have a moisturizing treatment I can use to maintain the black color until I dye it again in 4-5 weeks? I understand don’t use a deep conditioning treatment right away bc it will strip the color off. What products can I use during the in between before I color my hair again? I have all of your co wash conditioner so far. Just looking for deep moisturizing treatments I can buy to maintain. Thank you. Sorry this was long ❤
@Jeudyv can you write which recipe worked for you, the procedure you adopted, duration you left it on, before and after wash process. I want black hair back.
Kadija do you mix henna and indigo separately? Is there ever a time when you can add them together in powder form? Or do you always mix them separately then add the mixture together after the color is released? Or is it better to apply henna to your hair then follow up with indigo as two separate treatments? I appreciate your expertise! My goal is to achieve auburn on gray.
You always mix them separately as they have completely different dye release times! Whether you mix them together at the end or keep them separate is dependent on the color result you want. If you mix them together you get a brown color. If you apply henna first and then a second application of Indigo, you will get black
Hello! No, you won’t have issues but in general, for frizzy hair, you will have to ensure you’re using a lot of moisturizing ingredients and a good leave-in after that will be more effective at taming frizzies.
Hello! By using a combination of henna and indigo, you can achieve a blue-black color while still benefiting from the conditioning properties of henna. The ratio of henna to indigo will determine the final color result, so you may need to experiment with different ratios to achieve the shade you desire. Start with a smaller amount of henna compared to indigo if you want to emphasize the blue-black color more prominently. Additionally, performing a strand test beforehand can help you gauge the final color result on your hair.
@@terrelberry2592 well it does depend and yes is the answer, you can apply like henna but the steps for mixing are different. What color are you trying to achieve?
@@HennaSooq my henna is chestnut and my hair is brownish with red undertones. The sun lightens my hair so I wanted the chestnut. Only the grey patch of hair I have is chestnut 😩 the rest looks the same
How do you get a bright red wine color? I bought henna that was supposed to be red wine color, but it didn't turn out as promised. I even tried beetroot powder, but it still didn't work. The instructions suggested using an egg in the henna for moisturizing, but it dried out my hair. What is your advice?
@@kylieburton8023 in this case the best henna for a bright rich wine tone would be this henna: hennasooq.com/collections/preorder/products/fresh-organic-rajasthani-indian-henna-powder it's about the henna quality and origin of country that determines that color result.
Hello. We can’t answer this as you used another brand and we don’t know if there are any conflicts for their brand with chemicals. Please ask the brand you used.
I would like to switch over to your products. My hair is currently a reddish brown (from Colora henna products). I want to maintain this color. Which product of yours would I use to keep this color? Thank you
8:30 hello mam how are you. This is Dr Gauri I am liking the doll too at the back of you. How can we use Zizyphus powder in other ways too. Please send me this doll with the next order. Thankyou Regards 9:43
Did anyone try 2 step process: Step 1- henna beetroot mixture first day Step 2- henna:indigo 1:3 ratio mixture the following day Please share your experience and any different step you did
