1. Mahomes (7 year Vet) 2. Lamar ( 6 year vet) 3. Allen (6 year vet) 4. Burrow (4 year vet) 5. Stafford (15 year vet) 6. Herbert (4 year vet) 7. Purdy (2 year vet) 8. Stroud (Rookie) 9. Hurts (4 year vet) 10. Dak (8 year vet) 11. Rodgers (19 year vet) 12. Tua (4 year vet) 13. Love (3 year vet) 14. Goff (8 year vet) 15. Murray (5 year vet) I think putting into perspective how many years everyone else has played shows how great Purdy has done in two season. Also how amazing of a season CJ Stroud did as a rookie. They are two players who will move higher in the rankings as the years progress and stay up there for a long time.

It is very subjective depending on the criteria. Is it just last year, stats, past success, getting to a superbowl or winning a ring. One chart, he was ranked 2 and another one 16. Depends on what they are looking at.

We are stuck with our intuition, experience, and whatever passes for knowledge, whether data, or calculation, its going to come down to interpetation. Everything depends upon your perspective. Jimmy Garapalo won 5 games with about 1/3 of the offensive play when he learned the full plays his game slowed down tremendously

Crock on point, Very hard to say which QB will do good under which system. QB's on other teams, could that be as good as they are gonna be, you cant just take their combine measurables and translate them to a diff team and surmise they will be good. Just cuz Herbert is big and has an arm doesn't mean he can run KS system, and it doesn't mean BP being smaller and less arm cant run the Chargers system. You have to judge on what they are doing with who they are with.

Purdy is a top 10 QB. Perfect for SF, with better OL, he'd be a ringbearer. With non blundering head coach...multiple rings

OK, now I understand what’s going on. Most of these lists are projecting what will happen in 2024, not what actually happened in 2023. If you’re going to ask what QBs could play just as well as Purdy in SF, why not ask “If we replaced the current QB in some of these teams with Purdy which ones would improve?” If Purdy was moved to the Texans, would they improve or get worse? Then compare how Purdy and Stroud played this year before you answer.

The argument is moot once you start throwing in rookies. You can't rank a food you haven't tasted even though reviews say it's great. Regardless of criteria, 2 active QB's have won a SB in Mahomes and Stafford. As long as Stafford remains on a competitive team he's #2 unless he has a fall off this season. 3 through 6 are QB's that have taken their teams to SB's but havent won (Purdy, Goff, Hurts and Burrow). The remaining 7 for me to round off 7 through 13 are all based off talent and being on a good team. Jackson, Allen, Tua, Herbert, Prescott, Love and CJ Stroud.

In your system, none of the qbs, in the nfl, can do better stats none!! Than purdy. There exists a few who may batch him but they may not. His stats near perfect even he will have trouble matching them! His thought process quickness, is very top end and that is all that matters in that system. Being tough enough to not be injured in the nfl underlies all positions without mentioning.

Any of the points in this comment section are valid. Pretty much everyone agrees Mahomes is the best. After that it’s a free for all in the top 10. I have Brock in the top 5 but if it wasn’t for the fact he was mr. irrelevant it wouldn’t be that hot a take to rank him number 2. If he was the top pick of the draft saying he was number 2 behind Mahomes wouldn’t be that controversial.

Basically it's Aiyuk going from Jimmy/Mullens/Beathard/Lance to Purdy except everyone is pegging him as an elite WR while Stroud gets all the credit for Collins.

Everyone is trying to say why Purdy is so good, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Because he doesn't have a good OL. So if he keeps this up he will be in the Hall of Fame. 😅

Don't even mention that invisible OL. Last season, I heard so much from the national talking heads mentioning that one of the reasons Purdy's stat was good because he got an amazing OL protection. Showing how much they knew the 9ers.

If winning the SB is your goal, the case has been made that your HC is not only not cutting it, hes consistently choking, with his predictability, smug system, narrowmindedness, telegraphed plays, moves, unexplainable drafts, system fits over quality, low positional value overdrafts, miffs, juvenile relationship with players, media, A waste of time to interview, lies horribly, and when challenged he strikes out defensively contradiction, are you striking out, or defending yourself? When you take into account what Kyle Shanahan asks him to do I think Purdybis top 3 as far as fit. He wouldn't be for some other teams but then again he doesn't play for those other teams!

Top 10 should be: Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Stroud, Purdy, Lamar, Stafford, Rodgers, Cousins, Herbert Every single one of these QBs outside Herbert had a better combination of OL and/or weapons than Purdy. People thinking Purdy has the Avengers around him because of the reputation of Shanahan and the 49ers. 49ers got the worst OL of the contenders, one true WR, an undersized OL who plays 2nd best TE part time. CMC is good, but watch the previous starting RBs who had to play with a loaded box created by Jimmy. Jimmy lost his SB. Purdy got sabotaged by a HC that chokes in the playoffs.

I would rank MVPURDY AT 2. Mahomes at 1(SBwinner) the rest did not get there so why should the others be rated higher, when they could not win division. Just like MVP . Jackson did not deserve it for 1 game. PROTECTION FOR MVPURDY NINER STRONG 💪
