can someone explain to me how the Apex 72 is able to be a high wall heater? in other word, what technology makes it possible to be mounted up high when Cadet recommends all other heaters to be mounted low for optimun effecientcy? I have the feeling I can get one of their cheaper models with same efficiency as the Apex72.
So when the heat rises from the floor baseboard heaters, where does that go? It all rises whether on the floor or ceiling. The point is that it hen displaced the air and creates flow. As long as there’s flow, it’ll all get heated.
Great question, Wall heaters are going to spread the warm air around a room faster than a hydronic baseboard heater would because of the fan. The SoftHeat hydronic baseboard may take a little longer to get your room up to temperature. If you want the best energy savings, we'd suggest using either one with an electronic wall thermostat.
@@Cadetheat but if both place in the same size room which will be more efficient, low cost to operated in lets say a 24hr time frame we known the wall heater will heat up faster but will it hold the heat like the oil fill element and lastly will the wall heater fan can that be functioning independently let's say in summer can is just be used as a fan with the element part off tnks
@@AR-uj3js Good questions. There are a lot of variables to this but in general a wall heater with an electronic thermostat will save energy over any type of baseboard heater. The only wall heaters we make that have a "fan only" mode for use without the heater function are the Energy Plus and the NLW. The NLW is designed more for large spaces/rooms, while the Energy Plus is designed to be used in any kind of room.
