If you phase the wires for a 240 volt wall heater (when you reidentified the white panel), then do you have to phase them on the panel? What happens to the white conductor on the panel???
A wall thermostat can be installed on a heater without built-in thermostat? Also, is there a thermostat with a timer to cut off the heater if accidentally left on? Thanks
Can you adjust the thermostat? Ours shuts off too early in are bathroom. But our secondary bathroom it makes the room incredibly hot, same wall heaters.
I got a question about this heater. I purchased this exact heater that's rated at 1500 watts, If I adjust the thermostat to low or medium will let reduce the watts? For example, could I potentially have 500 or 1000 watts and then if I max it out on high, does that give me 1500O watts or is it a constant 1500 watts no matter what the temperature is on?
Your video instructions and your paper wiring diagram don't seem to match. In the video your show cutting the black wire pair at the top of the heater. The wiring diagram reads DO NOT CUT! I'm confused.
The thermostat I’ve purchased gives two options for the stat to turn off at temp and again at off. One of the leads supplying the heater goes directly to the element wire and the other goes through the Tstat but it’s not working. In installed it and the room Continues to overheat what have I done wrong? It appears I’ve installed it exactly like the stat I removed was installed
Thank you Thomas for clarifying how much copper wire i needed to expose when stripping. Ive been struggling with that. The wiring of the unit should be a breeze tomorrow since i take the top wire and connect it to the other wire, and then my other wire i connect to another wire and from the thermostat that Connects to the other wire that I shove in my eye After i huff the pvc glue so i can hopefully be as brain dead as the person who made this instructional video. How? How through eons of evolution have we receded into this bleak existence? Maybe its me. I'm the problem. I am the problem.
The instructions tell you exactly how to do this. The instructions do not tell you how to put your thermostat on one side and your power wires on the other side
This helped the guy they sent to fix my heat that wouldn't turn off. It had a 2 wire thermostat instead of 4. Red to white, red to gray, black to black, and black to black.
I hear the click noise when the knob is at about 55 degrees. But the room is in fact 75 degrees. This is the case for all three Cadet T522 single pole thermostats in the apartment. What gives?? Were they installed improperly?
Piss poor example of wiring for a 220VAC setup. You ran a 2 wire where there should have been a 3 wire. Your explanation is poor as to why. Code violations.
I want to install a wall heater on the same wall where I had removed old baseboard heater. All the wiring is still there. The wall heater needs to be moved a few feet and I am concerned that the wiring is not long enough to reach the new wall heater. How can I solve this problem. Thank you.
I'm a little confused with the wire cutting in the header as the other video you have DOES NOT CUT THESE WIRES: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wcxoJWgVrsQ.html Which video is correct? My model is a 4F1000.
I bought a used 8 ft. Long baseboard heater. It no longer has a sticker on it to tell what voltage it is ? 120 or 250. How can I tell what voltage it is? I hooked it up to 120. It heats up but is just doesn't get very warm. It does this rather I go through the thermostat or directly to the 120 outlet.? So should I assume it takes 240 ?
