The highest honor someone can bestow upon anyone is letting them name their baby ❤ You have officially won over hearts in India Karl.We natives are in a race to appear modern and western while you are so connected to the Indian cultural roots.Great job karl
I am at the Auckland airport coming back to India and met your father at the security. He is such a gem of a person❤ Can't believe the world is so small😁 Hopefully one day will be able to meet you and your partner too🥰
My grandma told me that during the time she was a teenager almost every house in their locality had owned atleast a cow or two. Because people had so much milk they used to make a variety of food items like paneer, cheese or deserts like rasmalai at their home. The dung they used to dry and use it as fuel for cooking , bathing etc. A perfect circular economy imho. But sadly this practice no longer continues to this day and less people are willing to put up with things like these
@@justsomedude-gaming9815 You burn the dung. The dung makes ash. Ash can be used in making soaps, and you can the milk/Milk products for moisturizing qualities in the soap.
Karl, Absolutely one of your best video's ! What an honor for you to name their daughter !! I enjoyed the tour of the farm, seeing and hearing what goes on in the dairy. Vinod has a lovely family, and I thank him for allowing you and us into their home. All the very best for the new year to everyone, success and happiness !!! From the U.S.A.
This was lovely, just hanging out with simple folk, doing simple things. This is not pejorative in any way - simplicity is beautiful and here, it also means doing hard work for just what you need in life. I have great respect for these wonderful people. Thanks for sharing Karl.
bro, it's weird, but i cried a bit with this video. i think it is because of the sincerity, and love that you have for every aspect of India,...and your humaness. this video moved me. A very good video. Thank you so much. i love stuff like this!!! More Mr. Rock, more!!!
Wonderful video , The highlight of the video was naming vinodh's daughter And it's a privilege to name someone's child in indian culture I bet this is gonna be one of the moments of honor in Karl's life . ❤
So very interesting and necessary to be educated. Your channel informs and improves our understanding of the family of man. Blessings to you, dear Karl.Peace be with you, thanks be to God.
I worked at a Dairy Farm here until I got my back hurt at the time. ( I am okay now after surgery I have 4 medical grade bolts in my lower spine). I often had some fresh milk while there....excellent!
Amazing video, i also have a small cattle farm here in punjab, it's quite difficult to manage big farms especially in extreme cold and hot days, one needs to be a hardworking man to take this job.
Dude, I see tons of videos of Hindus, Sikhs and Christians become forcefully converted and their community girls being married to old Muslim men in Pakistan. I also see little kids chanting death to non-Muslims. Is this true? Are Pakistanis really this extremist?

My Mother, born in 1917 grew up in a little town on the Mississippi River in Illinois. They always had a cow and a big garden and walked everywhere. That's how people used to live in America. Not so different from Indian villages today.
Reminds me of spending time on the farm in Brainard Minnesota when young. We would drink freshly milked milk from the cow just strained through either cheese cloth or oil cloth (don't remember which) and it was as good as a milkshake.
Karl i just wanted to say my grandparents lived in pune india and I have a fascination with india. I love india because of there loving quality. Reach out, keep making content. Love you bro maybe one day I'll come visit.
In the UK I use Jersey Cow milk to make my Kadak Chai as it's the highest butter fat you cat get easily it's about 4.6-5% butter fat which is better than the 3.6% from full fat Freesia Cow milk. Buffalo milk still is supreme I drank plenty in Roma I remember that being up to as much as 6.5 to 7%. I need to make chai with this milk!
Operation flood or white revolution is reason for improved milk production in India. From a milk deficit country to largest milk producer in world, this program was one of its kind and largest in the world. Thou, there were many were involved, but major credit is given to Dr Verges Kurien for his vision and administrative acumen of Cooperative society and ability take head on with world majors like NESTLE with Indian Brand AMUL
I feel Karl is more Indian than any other Indian..the way he respects elders and proud of India. Where as other Indians including me...try to differentiate between Hindus Muslims, North and South, upper caste lower caste... Lot to learn frm karl...by seeing him..we need to change and respect everyone..no matter who they are..poor or rich
A really pleasant surprise that most Chai is made from Buffalo milk I'm coming to India for the first time next month (you are one of the people that has inspired me to make my first solo backpacking trip at 59 !) But I didn't think I'd be able to have much Chai as I have a Cows milk intolerance. If its mainly Buffalo milk, that is great news for me ☺️
@forever470 thank you. I'm looking at Rajistan, Punjab, Mcleod Ganj, West Bengal and Sikkim areas on this visit, but I will be coming back again to explore other areas ! ☺️
Some facts about the general milk industry in India: Most cows used for their milk are secured with ropes through their pierced noses, often so tightly they embed in the flesh. Out of 451 dairies that FIAPO investigated across the country, almost 80 percent of them kept cows on hard floors which leads to lameness. Because of the reluctance to kill cows, male calves of milk-producing females are often turned out onto the streets to fend for themselves. When not producing optimal milk yields, the females may be turned out, too and there are an estimated five million stray cows in India today. These poor animals eat whatever they can find, which is often garbage. Karuna Society for Animals & Nature, based in Andhra Pradesh, regularly removes up to 70 kilos of plastic rubbish from the stomachs of stray cows. More than 5,000 shelters exist to care for stray cows. These gaushalas may mean well but in reality conditions can be even worse than on farms. For example, in Rajasthan, 250 workers at the government-run Hingonia gaushala went on strike and within two weeks, 500 cows had died from starvation. A later investigation found that between January and July 2016, 8,122 cows died at the same place due to poor conditions and upkeep. Today, the gaushala has 15,000 cows, many of whom are used for milk and therefore made to reproduce, increasing the number of cows still further. Because slaughtering cows is illegal in many states, and disapproved of in others, unwanted cows are often just allowed to starve to death.
It's disappointing the welfare of the cows, and the obviously poor conditions these cows seemed to be kept in in this video was just glossed over. A lot of people are saying this is such a wholesome video, it seems the opposite to me.
Its mostly in cities where people have less space they make their bulls roam around market and eat trash which is very sad. Hope government build laws against then and proper shelters to be provided.
I am 39 now from Haryana. Two boffelo milk is my weekness since childhood. Nothing can beat the natural sweetness of Raw buffalo milk (not every can digest fresh unadulterated raw buffalo milk)
Karl bhai. I got so emotional seeing the family askimg you to name their daughter. Wow!! Also big thabks for understanding why cows are bestowed special status . Many people do not understand that.
"Jai Hind" was popularised during the time of the Raj and it means something like "Long Live India". It was used by the Indian National Army which was raised by the Japanese to fight against the British from captured Indian army troops. A reminder that some Raj Indian Army troops refused to join the Indian National Army because they had survived massacres of surrendering troops who had been used as target and bayonet practice by Japanese soldiers.
HI Karl thanks for another great upload, hope you had a great christmas and mega new years much love and respect to you and your familys and to the milk mans aswell from England
Love milk, especially when simmering away on the fire and thick cream on the top. Childhood days at my grandparents. Interesting about the buffalo milk and also that it's more fatty. Thanks
Flying from London to Mumbai traveking around india for 3 weeks, you shoudl promote on your channel that Indian Rupeee is a closed currency, in England you cannot buy indian rupee nir can you take it out of rhe country. Any ideas why this is
Milk price is not the same everywhere in India. In U.P., Haryana, Delhi, milk is quite cheap. In my state Assam, 100% pure full cream cow (not buffalo) milk costs about 100-150 INR.
