Thanks for sharing. I am glad you had happy memories here. My husband used to go to that area a lot on business and would occasionally take me. He took me to a fancy restaurant, but I can't remember the name. I loved the "rocky" beach areas nearby. Hubby also went to some events at that performance center. The only one I remember in particular was a performance of Carousel. that was around 1994.

I too am from Melbourne! How funny would it be if we crossed paths?? As we all know everyone knows each other in Melbourne somehow. 😂 When you pulled up to the Avenues I got so excited haha. We used to go to that Melting Pot all the time!

Hi, I'm from Ohio and when we went on vacation to Florida, Melbourne is where I chose to stay. 😊 We stayed for a week and stayed Ocean front. I loved it.

The way you feel about Melbourne is how I feel about Sarasota. Though, much of what made Sarasota has been lost to commercialism and crime. As far as The Melting Pot, speaking of crime, my wife and I went once...ONCE...it was so expensive for what one would get. It's cool...but ooooof...they're proud of what they have!

I’m from south Florida ( north palm beach county area ) / I like going on cruises out of Port Canaveral better then Port Miami. Port Canaveral is much nicer - simple , quieter then Port Miami / good - safe “ off site cruise parking lot “

This is the closest thing to time travel we can do (until someone invents a machine).😉 It's an amazing experience to revisit old homes and schools, you could have made it even more real by locking your keys in the car.😉 I think you were correct in quitting a job that wasn't right for you, following your instincts probably altered your destiny for the good. You're a like-able person and a natural for thanks for sharing.
