Other places to look for are abandoned Mica mines. Mica is mainly found with quarts and to my knowledge gold veins can be found within quarts as well. I've got an old mica mine behind my house and I've found a few grams of gold from just crushing up quarts rocks and panning it.

There are many rivers here in NH, mostly in the White Mountains with high banks that have scored gold, I'm in S.W. NH but am ready to explore with the fam to see what we can find. Thanks for your info.

New Hampshire is fairly mountainous. The White Mountains have a lot of run off from snow melts. There are decent size rivers and many many smaller streams through the central and northern areas. The eastern part has high density development from the Maine border nearly all the way to Rochester and Concord. The big lakes give up some nuggets to scuba divers with a sharp eye.

I’ve found gold flakes on both ends of the amonusuc(not sure if I spelled that right) but nothing to right home about. The search will continue. Thank you for this info

im part of a greater portland maine mineral club and was just talking to an elder member tonightabout this subject. esp about silver as i have land in southwestern maine and wanted to know if i could find precious metals and the gentleman i was talking about said be very very careful with these types of mines in maine and nh due to the fact people would start up these mines and sell stock options and alot of them either had very small amounts or the samples were salted. so beware of researching old mines in new england for that reason.

There used be a gold mine located on pocket Moutain which is located in Ossippee New Hampshire

I fished a little north of Berlin NH. and remember in just about every creek the sorounding sand was black , i think your spot on in the circles you draw on the map as to where to look for gold

also. streams. almost every mountain everywhere has a runoff or active stream that has moved the gold into it if you know where and how to look for these spots.

Most of the streams and feeder streams from colebrook to canadian border has gold just gotta look ive found alot on indian stream near pittsburg NH and you can find perfect cubed iron pyrite specimine grade to and garnets

within the national forest system in NH their are a couple places that allow gold prospecting in rivers, their usually associated with camp sites that front the rivers. prospecting anywhere else is severely frowned upon. I've been spoken to by the forest rangers in the past for just collecting rocks on the Pemmiguassit (sp) river in Lincoln by loon Mt.

All of New England is full of rivers, creeks, and streams. The terrain is very hilly/mountainous (at least by New England standards) so I think there's a lot of potential for gold to be found in areas one wouldn't expect.

I'm from Massachusetts in the Merrimack river valley which starts at the White Mountains in NH carves is way south to MA. Most this valley was made when was glaciers so gold was near Portland Maine is part the area so might be stuff further up the valley

I don't frequent your channel very often but I figure you're the guy to ask are there any large deposits of gold in New Hampshire. I watch a few channels where they do prospecting but it seems like a good day is a couple of grams is there anywhere and anyway to pull ounces of gold out of New Hampshire soil?

Why is new Hampshire so strict on gold prospecting and mining

People don't really prospect nor mine southern NH because there all rich or just going over the border for work. Riches don't need to look ways to make money from the ground. I live here so i am guessing this but also flat land not much hills or mountains southeastern NH. But I will tell you this I find gold here every time i go prospecting 😎
