I have had VERY good luck on Ebay, finding jewelry tools in "lots" from jewelry people retiring. I found an old crusty BenchMate and sent it back to GRS to have it resurfaced. They put a new "powder coat" on it and fixed it up really well for a very reasonable price. It came back looking and functioning like a new one. I have done that with several tools from various companies. They will contact you for a price estimate before they do the work.
Joel, thank you so much for sharing your bench master tips and tricks. Looking forward to learning more and fine tuning my tools !🔨🔬💎. Truly time saving!
Hello Mr Mc Fadden. Love you tutorials, very informative with all tips and tricks, thank you very much. I don’t have jewelry business it’s my hobby for now anyway. I started with cutting gems and later decided make my own piece of jewelry, so I’ve got almost all tools I need for this ( microscope, bur , roller mill, smith tools and so forth ) but when it comes to material it’s stop right there.I want buy gold and solder markers, companies who sales do it only for business, there’s no any limit for buying tools and equipment.. feel myself kind of trapped for now. Maybe you’ll have some advice for me I would appreciate it. Thank you. Vj
I have a question regarding where to find good mountings. I have several loose stones I want to put into a necklace or ring mounts. This is just for me-non professional. Where can I buy mounts and how do I measure the stone properly to find what I need? I know the stones I have and all I want are basic setting mounts. Nothing elaborate or fussy. Thank you in advance
hi Joel, thanks for great videos, question: what is the name of the burr life you're using? I have some that I got years ago that has a lower melting temp so it doesn't gum up the burrs as much, I've been trying to find it for years as I'm pretty sure it's not the same as what's sold through most suppliers TIA
