Excellent job...You did everything I would strongly recommend to anyone installing aftermarket equipment. Remember your ground wire should be the gauge or larger to the power wire.

Great video. Thanks! I had a question about the reverse, if my display only has a single pin for reverse input then how do I use the reverse lights?

Did it work and the radio unit turn on normally after using the vehicle metal chassis for the ground?

The cleaning bit? Look up rivet cleaning brush or bit on Amazon. I have them in my Amazon store.

Can you ground the black wire without the little metal circle piece Like could i just pull alittle bit of the metal out of the wire and electrical tape it onto a metal bolt?
@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 4 месяца назад
No, put the ring on the wire and crimp for maximum reliability.

I found out that there isn't a good ground point for my dash cam in my 2011 Jetta. There are some screws near the cabin fuse box but unfortunately they're ALL "floating" screws attached to plastic parts. Does anybody have any ideas on what to do? I've looked EVERYWHERE near the fuse box and there's NOTHING reasonably close by.

Can't run a longer wire to the kick panel area. There's usually a factory ground bolt in there.
