@@Idalvene barca needed a number 9 because both messi and griezman can’t play there and drop deep and he has filled that perfectly and scoring in the champion’s league is a bigger stage than Middlesbrough
um 2 of those games were against Ireland who haven't scored in 7 games... also clean sheets against USA + Bulgaria... not really that telling to be honest....
Seriously don't know what he is going on about with Kieffer Moore either, the fella has scored 5 goals in his last 5 games. To say that Wales would get relegated is a bit harsh to me. They remind me of Newcastle tbh as they can play well but do have periods when they are boring and a bit scrapy (coming from a Welshman btw).
did he with a straight face just say that WEST HAM and SOUTHAMPTON have better teams then Italy almost every player in the Italy squad gets into those teams
@@WERTYUIO821 the video was about where they would place in premier league not who is better Italy play poor together yes they have good individuals but as a whole they can’t play I’d say 9th tbf
This whole list is a joke😂. England. The team that plays three right backs in defense finishes above the highest ranked country in the world. Irish guy you took an L in this one
but their quality is almost unmatchable right now. When their young talent meet their potential, they would win games day in day out. But i also guess because he known more about the english players than Belgian or german etc, he has that bias, but still
@@vaporterra mate after losing to shakhtar Donetsk no one think they are going to 2 matchs against inter if the stakes are high they are going to step up even if they need to park the bus
Also not to be salty but he didn’t mention players like Kulusevski and Isak who’d probably be quite good in the PL, hell even Quaison would probably be good for a midtable side
@@theironfist362 For Havertz he was just trying to emphasise the large amounts of money being spent in the PL when you cannot at international level And for Bernardo Silva, he was trying to mention squad depth, cause he said 'Man City have Bernardo Silva on the bench, Belgium have Leandro Trossard' He is just trying to emphasise that Belgium's squad depth is not great compared to the likes of Man City
@Galvanization 9D It’s not that unrealistic. Italy’s group consists of Switzerland, Turkey, and Wales. Then if they win Group A they face a Group C runner up, most likely Ukraine. That’s one major hurdle away from a semifinal. Edit: since OP deleted his comment, he originally said lol. I guess I proved him wrong.
@@yuyue8215 I guess, to be fair, he is trying to rate their performance in the premier League 😂. But in any case, predicting Italy to finish 11th should be a federal offence
Maybe O'Shaughnessy chose Finland over Ireland because despite him having an Irish father, he is born and raised in Finland, and has represented all of their youth teams and none of Ireland's? So yeah, the comparison with Declan Rice makes as much sense as an pineapple juggling elephant riding a unicycle... And there's only 1 simple reason why Frank de Boer has been given the Netherlands job; there simply weren't any better coaches around that were available, that wanted the job, and are below 65 years of age...
@@jdjphotographynl I know they were thrown for a loop when Ronald Koeman left them for Barcelona, but if anything, the pandemic might have helped them in this regard because they would more time to search for a new manager. Nope, just settle on the guy who failed at Inter, Crystal Palace, and Atlanta United. Oh, and before anyone mentions Ajax, 4 League titles doesn't hide the fact that he failed to get past the group stage in the Champions League, past the Round of 16 in the Europa League, or win a single Dutch cup. The year after he was fired? Finals of the Europa League. Two years after that? Champions League semi-final, and the domestic double for the first time since a 19 year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic was in the squad. Sorry for this rant, but yeah, de Boer, not good.
@@nicholastricarico2957 Well, in all honesty, De Boer had to work with a generally poor squad back in his day at Ajax because the club was in a much worse situation financially than it is nowadays. Not up to the same extent as Barcelona now, but the emphasis was even more (and with that, too much) on youth academy graduates, which just leads to inconsistency due to a lack of experience within the squad. De Boer's only luck for having won those 4 titles was that the competition was doing even worse, the early 2010s in that sense were not a good time for Dutch club football. Think we had fallen a lot on the UEFA club coefficient list at the time. But anyway, it goes too far to say De Boer has laid the foundation for his successors to reap the rewards at Ajax, but he has helped the club through a difficult period, and for that us Ajax fans can only be grateful to him. That doesn't change the fact that there were very few people here in the Netherlands that understood why Frank de Boer had gotten the Dutch national squad manager position though, given all of his previous failures. And then he thought it would be a good idea to change to a 5-3-2 formation only a handful of players in the squad were used to and somewhat comfortable with just two weeks prior to the start of Euro 202(0/1)... *facepalm* The most remarkable thing is that Frank de Boer, despite everything he experienced in the past 5 years, he still wants to be a head coach / manager. I wonder if there is a club or country out there that's crazy (or naive) enough to hire him.
@@jdjphotographynl Geez, no wonder they got knocked out in the Round of 16 in Euro 2021. But anyways, thanks for the information on Ajax during that period, it does give some context to their underachievements during that era. Greetings from the United States of America, and thanks for this discussion (which mostly ended up being taking the piss out of Frank de Boer).
I don’t see how losing to a champions league finalist makes you inconsistent ok they lost the first game had a bit of a stumble had 8 big games in a row where they lost to spurs disappointing result lost to Arsenal and bashakehir can’t spell it and now PSG they all have good sides bashakehir was the only game there I was expecting a win but it came at a time they had to play spurs Chelsea Everton Arsenal PSG rb Leipzig game after game
@Robben The goat if we talk abt now Alderweireld is still prem quality Denayer also has been proving himself but yeah Vertonghen wouldnt do that great anymore cause of him being a bit older but hes still decent enough.
_We _*_(Portugal)_*_ and France in the Prem would literally recreate the 18/19 title race, pure and emphatic action until the final second of the season._
Belgium would be in that race too. Absolute class and with their sheer talent 1 or 2 rotations won't budge them too much especially with the average team they will be playing.
I wouldn't call Brathwaite a Barcelona joke,he's playing really decent when he come on.. I know he's not good enough but he's not disgrace himself like Kevin Prince Boateng or Arda Turan
Last season he was definitely a joke but he's done well this season so credit to him. I mean imo he shouldn't even be at the club he's clearly not Barcelona level but he seems to have the right mentally and is pushing himself so well done to him. But yeah Irish guy sometimes gives opinions that are a bit out of date doesn't he lol
irish guy is literally the best predictionmaker like dennmark relegated, italy not making it top half of the table, turkey not being relegated but wales are genious.Absolutely class predictions
Czech Republic actually have two West Ham players - Soucek and Coufal. They're both in pretty good form, but the Czech national team is still pretty weak.
Maybe he should rate the best 10 countries or so that missed the Euros by how they’d fare in the Championship. But that would be kinda unfair to put Erling Haland against those kinds of defenses.
@@erikeriksen8711 I know but de Jong works as a enjine for us, gravenberch is pretty young, classen has got weaknesses and unlike others we don't have enough options comparatively to other teams like Spain and don't know why we don't get wout weghost to play in team and there's less depth in team than we actually believe and Italy certainly have a better squad then us.
Martin braithwaite is a humble player he works hard to match the level of barca.. but he is decently talented and really helps out the squad.. I don't think he's a joke tho he's actually unexpectedly good.
No mention of all the starting players in the Bundesliga (Sommer, Akanji, Elvedi, Zakaria) or Serie A (Freuler) either. All Champions League players too... Although Shaqiri is unmatched in terms of individual quality, he wasn’t part of the team for most of the campaign

Also we have 2 great players at Derby, I know it’s only Derby but they are literally the beat players there. Definitely Premier league quality just still getting experience. Also we have another young talented lad coming to Brighton and a young defender at Cagliari wanted by teams like Liverpool, man utd apparently. Definitely not Championship standard but yeah i agree some of our players are but definitely not majority we’d comfortably finish mid table but this Irish guy only thinks we have Lewandowski.
I'm actually delighted to hear about Ukraine's theoretical placement in the PL. Yes, we might not have a game-changing player (although Zinchenko or Malinovskiy, for example, can be such in the future); yes, we lost 7-1 to France (thanks to COVID outbreak in the team); and yet we have a distant and coherent team with a combination of both experience and youth; and also both Ukrainian meantality and European game plan - Andriy Shevchenko (yep, a Chelsea flop, as you would think) is the main manager with Italo-Ukrainian crew alongside. And honestly, he did a great job by transforming my country's team - from a bag of shame at Euro 2016 where we haven't even score a goal - to a prominent force on the European stage that beats Portugal, Spain and don't look like a victim of being easily beaten by top squads like Germany and Italy. So I think that this placement of yours seems logical. Anyway, good luck with hitting 500k! You deserve it.
@@amann7166 and Dynamo Kyiv before his move to Milan. I can just mention 4-0 demolition of van Gaal's Barcelona in 1997, where Shevchenko scored a hat-trick.
I like the Irish guy but he should never do international football videos because he has no idea at all. The opinions on Croatia, Italy and Austria was horrendous
His opinion on Austria was fair why do you disagree? Apart from him I think mentioning Lichtsteiner who he should know doesn't play anymore. Opinion on Italy I think was ridiculous yes at the very very least they should be in the top 10. Croatian players have always been good even if they struggle they'll find a way to survive but I can't remember did he place them in the relegation zone or just outside. At minimum I'd put them 13th or 14th if I was assuming they'd have a tough season
@@RyAn-sj7ck That Austrian team would not get relegated, The Italians would finish top 6 comfortably. Croatia is also a squad full of talent and winners but yeah they finish 15th according too him all off his takes on those 3 teams were terrible mate
@@scott2222 you haven't explained why you think Austria definitely won't get relegated though which is what I asked. The Croatians based on current form could finish 15th if current form is relevant. The Croatians have been poor since 2018 which is just fact but what is also fact is Croatia constantly produces good footballers so it would be unfair to say they'd be relegated. I think yes when you think of the teams who he thinks would finish about Croatia like idk Newcastle or Palace it's such an insult to Croatia to say they'd finish this low when their would be teams who wouldnt even get through Europa league qualifiers but if you are talking about current form and possibly under their current manager then I'll give irish guy a slight pass on Croatia. Don't agree with him at all about Italy especially with Mancini in charge who had a strong team already in Man City and won the league. But I get where you are coming from. I don't understand why you think Austria would definitely not be relegated, where would you put them in the table?
@@RyAn-sj7ck So do you think Sheffield United, Fulham, West Brom or Burnley have better squads than the Austrians. Yes they don't have more than lets say 8 or 9 premier league quality players but the teams just mentioned have about 8 or 9 between them. They would survive in the prem about 15th I would put them not massively behind but not relagation foder. Croatia would not be below 12th I just don't see a squad with that much quality being that low espically when you have a lot off press resistant midfielders in that team.
Agreed. Italy is going to qualify for at least europe, croatia might make a europa league playoff push and austria definetly won't be relegated. The one that bugged me the most was austria. Their starting 11 is good and definetly a class above that of this year's bottom 5-6 teams. Switzerland too. Just gloss over all their talent and the ridiculous amount of gladbach stars in that team (sommer, elvedi, zakaria, embolo...)
He does realize that it's been 2 years since the world cup happened right. Also, saying that Italy has less talent than Aston Villa and Southampton is a joke even back then. Italy have players playing in the Champions League while it would be a minor miracle that anyone from that Southampton team would play for a Champions League club.
Barrella, locatelli, jorginho, tonali, bastoni, donnarumma . Their midfield is sensational and they have one if the best young defenders and Gks in the world
No he wasn't. Alvaro is absolutely horrendous. He recently missed against Portugal, Sweden, Poland, and Slovakia. Four games in a row. And in the Champions League against Barcelona at home, he was offside. Three times, by the way.
I'm from Kenya (the place where Victor Wanyama is from) and if we were in the prem we would finish rock bottom with maybe 5 goals scored and 90 conceded.
Hey, just a little correction for you: Vladimír Coufal is playing for WHU so that makes it 3 Czech players. And yes in CR we eat cheese puffs and play Minecraft instead of playing football. Christ above. Loving the vids btw
Poulsen is not one season wonder. He has been with Leipzig from the time they were in literally 5th division and have grown with the club. Please don’t sate vague statements
Chelsea wins 2009 is easily the biggest one here. I mean COME ON there is no way VAR would miss the stuff that happened and chelsea would probably win the 2nd leg 3-1
"You're relying on service from Championship standard players... Lewandowski would be lucky to score 10" Ahh yes, the guy with *checks notes* 63 goals in 116 caps would only be able to score 10 in the 38 PL games 🤦♂️
