Hello and thank you for your question. No, I have not replaced the water pump, but I did buy a spare one and intend to replace it at some point. Fuel consumption varies greatly with the engine’s RPM. At full throttle, the engine consumes two gallons of diesel per hour, dropping down to one gallon per hour at around 2500 RPM, and 0.5 gallon per hour at 1800 RPM. I use the boat in the tidal area and on the river, so the actual distance I can cover depends on where and when I go, but it is usually relatively short since the boat is slow in relation to the often-opposing currents when I have to run at high RPMs for longer periods of time and so I need to refuel quite often. I carry a jug of diesel with me at all times and will have to carry more on longer up-river trips where there are no marinas. With 18 gallons in the fuel tank and two-gallons-per-hour fuel consumption, it is only 9 hours of run time. Considering the up-river speed of, say, 5 knots, that gives me the range of only 45 miles or so. I do wish the range was greater.
