raidenkeify -THANK YOU. I’ve made these and those chives bring everything together. I grew up scrambling eggs in a bowl and dumping them in a non-stick pan- no butter. Maybe it’s a California thing but these eggs are fairly heavy for my taste. That being said, they are delicious and if you forget the chives then you’re missing out.

Heston's recipe is amazing. I tried it once and have never gone back to raw, overcooked eggs ever since. Gordon's tip of adding salt at the very end (to prevent a watery taste) works, too.

They were all complaining about the first eggs not being mixed well but personally that's what si prefer. When I was young, I loved when my mom made me scrambled eggs, and when my dad made them I thought they were just ok. Turns out that my dad fully mixed them in a bowl with milk, while my mom put them directly in the pan without mixing and without milk, starting to mix only when the eggs are starting to harden and adding salt and pepper. (Plus, when I told my dad about this, he stopped putting milk in his eggs and prefers them that way now)

based on recipes i'd say between Gordon & Heston. always used Gordon's method as it's 100% fail safe, still haven't tried Heston one as it takes too long but I think will worth it

Some people do, some people don't. I grew up being taught to do it simple; scrambled in pan, then add your salt and black pepper. I would definitely try the cream version though

Maybe the reason Heston won was because all the other eggs got cold while they spent 20 minutes on Chrissy's eggs and then they made Heston's last so they were the warmest. Just saying, that might be the reason that happened.

Just cause they were filmed in a perticular or edited as such doesnt mean they ate and cooked in a certain order. Also they didnt mention anything about the TEMP or cold eggs so i would assume that wasnt a factor.

Congrats. Even though the Tiegen method is one of extreme slow cooking, you still managed to overcook the eggs at the end. The Blumenthal method is actually pretty much the best way, but you do need a lot of patience.

Best egg recipe ever! (my own homemade recipe!) Take two eggs and add about a tablespoon of milk and a handful of cheddar cheese. season with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and a dash of chili powder. Cook on high heat with butter and don’t stop steering. Take them off with the egg slightly under cooked and let them sit for a minute. They are so good!
