Yeah but they will charge you for fraudulent charges..... Even when u didn't authorize them. Better hope u don't get fruad while using their card because they will not close your account, and they will charge you anyway, and they will also hit your credit score over it after sending them a police report to investigate further. This is why the target bad credit.

The good thing with the Apple Card that I’ve not seen from any other issuer is (and I assume this is because they’re really looking for more accounts) if you get denied, they literally give you a layout of exactly what you need to do in order to get approved, and a deadline to get it done. Imagine if other companies gave you that information.

@@matthewjacobson252 that's fantastic that you have yet to fall victim to BOA, at least, to your knowledge, however, like Wells Fargo, who you claim you will never do business with, Bank of America has well documented shady business practices and have been caught and had to pay fines for some of them. This is just adams list from personal experience and research. You can talk to someone else and the list will probably be shuffled. The difficulty or ease of getting a particular credit card can just come down to dumb luck, or bad luck. There’s plenty of experiences where the Bank of America and Amex are considered two of the harder cards to be approved for. Amex, because of the fact they don’t even bother with offering a secured or student cards. B of a, because they’d prefer to see you as a banking customer, like U.S

I got turned down by PenFed with a 777 Equifax 9 score & no late payments, no public records. I had 7 credit cards, including cards from AMEX & Citibank when I applied. I had only 2 new accounts in the last 12 months, and 0 inquiries on EQ. If you don''t have 2 1/2 - 3 years of history and/or one or more installment loans, applying for their major cards is pretty much a wasted inquiry. Not sure but they may weight income more highly than most other lenders. Most reviews suggest a 750+ credit score. There are reports of people getting PenFed's cards with scores in the 600s, even with BKs and fairly recent 30/60 day late payments on their reports, but usually these cases involve people is with pretty long established history & thick files. So definitely they work with people who have had some problems in the past, but not so much with people who don't have a long track record -- even with good scores and no baddies you can get turned down.

I applied for the Citi Double UP card and got denied with a high FICO score with 8 months. Citi looks at all the minor factors in the credit reports. I think they want a full year of history from when your doing credit rebuilding on a Secure Card. I guess they also want see a graduation to an unsecured card with some payment history in the same year. A year removes blank boxes. Capitol One doesn't suggest a pre-approval for the Venture One. I'm going to have to wait to February to apply for a travel card. I need a travel card for cars rental for included CDWs.

Most of the time, if you don't make north of $100k, they don't really care about you. I wasn't able to get a CC w/ them for years, and then two years ago they approved me for their basic CC w/ a $1,500 limit. I was stressed trying to come up with money to pay a bill when I got the Citi double cash credit card pre approved offer in the mail, I applied for it and was approved for the card with a $500 limit which was enough and the card arrived in the mail in less than a week. I had only about 6 months of credit history and a fair score. I do want an American Express credit card, what would be a good first Amex card I have a 729 score with a 2 1/2yr history. Hello can I ask a question? I have two credit cards which are not the best. Had to start with those to build credit. So know my credit has been improving and I’m getting offers from other credit cards. If I close the ones I have and open with the “better” cards will that be bad? I don’t want my credit score to drop or anything plus I really don’t want to have too many credit cards. I’m just curious as to what to do bc I’ve heard closing out cards isn’t a good idea. Help anyone know? Please and thank you kindly!
@MetroJet2000
@MetroJet2000 3 года назад
You definitely want to open the new cards before closing the old ones. As far as if that will hurt your credit, probably. It depends on how old they are, because part of what makes up a credit score is "Average Age of Accounts." If you close your older accounts, those will stop factoring into your score and only the open, newer accounts will, causing a drop in your credit rating. Likewise, opening those new cards will do the same thing, but only for a little while as they will start to age as well. If you don't want to hurt your score, a good strategy is to put a small recurrent charge on your older cards to keep them active and open while shifting the majority of your spending to the cards you actually care about earning rewards on. Just remember to pay those off every month.
@dcsconsumerreviews1632
@dcsconsumerreviews1632 2 года назад
Don't close any if they don't have annual fees. You never want to close them. As far as a new account, it will hurt your credit age.

Do not close ANY card.
@goddessjones6559
@goddessjones6559 2 года назад
As long as there are no annual fees it doesnt hurt to keep them and occasionaly make a small purchase. I wouldnt close any card until I have had the card I want to keep for at minimum 3 years and ideally at least 5 years. Part of your score is credit history and length of credit (oldest card length) so if you get rid of your cards then it looks like your new your length of credit history is no longer helpful.

Brothers and sisters. I joined NF last month. They pull T.U. I had a T.U. score of 758. Income is 85k. Btw, if you live with your spouse, you can combine your income and report that as your income. My DTI is around TEN percent of that. My last card approval was back in June with Amex. Just now, NF gave me a 5k cc? Is that normal? I am grateful. I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but...? I imagine it's because I'm new to them? Can you possibly call a recon line to get a higher limit? Or what should/could I do?
