Dear sir I had a doubt on apex locator. The thing is that I m using woodpex gold 5 EAL, when the file clip and the cheek clip are on same side the the reading comes around 2mm short in comparison when file clip and cheek clips are in opposite sides.... It wud be highly appreciated if you can help and guide me for this problem..... And I take care of isolation by using cotton rolls only.... As the cheek clip moves from one side to other the reading get changes and in midline it comes half of the total difference.🙏 Please help 🙏
Hello Its simple Correlate your reading with radiographs. The reading which matches or close to radiographic WL, that will be correct. Its rule for WL, don't rely on single method. Atleast follow 2 methods for WL measurement
@@Endocrisps thanks for your reply sir, but as radiograph is 2D image so there is always a chance of error . And many guys take WL using only EAL, so I was eager to know that , is I m using it correctly or there is some error in my handling . Bcs I face this problem in every multi rooted tooth.
Cheek clip and file holding clip should be on the opposite side...try this and take an iopa...make sure there is no pulp tissue and bleeding in the canal while taking measurement.

Which Endomotor you suggest at present scenario for beginners who is not endodontist 1. Cheaper one like Endoking 8k 2. Woodpecker 25k 3. Nsk endomate DT 46k 4. Dentsply xsmart or xsmart plus 60-70k
