I said it before and I'll say it again, any GT350 is a rich person's car lol but if I really wanted to get one I would take your advice and go for the 2019 model year, that being said I prefer the new Mustang Mach1, to me that's one of the best Mustang's Ford has ever made.
@QueTheChaotic
@QueTheChaotic 2 года назад
Facts. I should have got the Mach 1 before the GT350 then moved up. I wouldn’t go back to the Mach 1 after having the GT350 unless it was nickel and dimming me. You’re right though. $160 oil changes ain’t cheap.

You pretty much nailed it. In the summer of 2020, I started planning to trade my 2017 Mustang GT. I first considered ordering a new Mach 1. But then I started researching the GT350. When I saw that a nicely equipped Mach 1 was going to be $63k+ (and an uninspiring design), I decided to look for a Shelby. After researching, I decided the best bet was a 2019. I looked for 3 months and finally found one in Nov. 2020 at the right price ($58k) with 6k miles; and a CPO car to boot. Loaded with the comfort seats. After 14 months, still love the car; daily driver. Not selling anytime soon.

15R absolute rarest, 16R most limited production for average joes, 17-18 higher demand so higher production numbers, 19-20 (bullitt sales sucked) so they kept going and refined the car and gave it more luxury. Heritage edition was the most produced and is overpriced due to hype.

I love my 2020 GT350. Also, it’s the last production year of the GT350. I traded my 2018 Mustang GT for it and had it shipped to me. It dropped it down from about 90k to lower 80k. When I bought it, I didn’t know how to drive a stick shift. So it stayed parked while I took lessons. I became comfortable in about 2 to 3 months. If long term desirability, collector interest and hold up resale value is what you are after then the 19s and 20s are the ones to get simply because of the Gen 2 Voodoo engine and the many other updates. As is often the case just when most of the issues on a new model or engine are corrected by the manufacturer they pull the plug on it. I don't think Ford ever intended for the GT350 to even have the run length it had but it surely helped get the car better. I own a 2019 R and even with all this been said I would not dare own it without having an extended warranty...things can still go wrong.
@QueTheChaotic

Well said. I envy R owners.
@eclecticrides8964
@eclecticrides8964 2 года назад
You got a beauty too and a much better daily driver than the R....hold on to it. There might be R owners daily driving their Rs but trust me thats not one of the car's selling points lol. Between the lack of comfort with the Recaros and the rear seat delete, inability to drive over 40mph on the Cups 2s when raining and the fear of damaging one of them carbon fiber wheels its a car best suited for the good weather spirited weekend drive. These are all things that can be changed to make the car more of a daily driver but thats what the non R's are there for. I don't track mine but thats also another of its strong attributes just like with the non R's. Keep up the good work...love your channel. You are very knowledgeable. Great content.

I’m a 2015 owner….that’s the collectors year. It came in 5 models that year. what ford couldn’t stop was the losers driving the standard 350 on the race track without the oil coolers (diff/trans). 21000 miles…no problems! Driving the car knowing what it can do and not do can save u some trouble. Limp mode is a bitch….never encountered it. Respect the car, u abuse anything it’s not going to turn out well and knowing any vehicles plus and minus will keep u on the road for along time. This car is one of the best! Europeans went crazy with this car because the Americans finally learned how too do a figure eight without flying off the road. Nurburgring #43, surrounded by Ferrari, lambos, Mclarens, Porsche’s! Good company of GT’s! Fords just reminding a few folks….after 50 yrs…..we still got it FPC and all!

Im in a tough spot right now... I'm trying to decide between the 1.Bullit(I'd want to keep the Bullit forever, so I prob wouldn't mod it... which is what I wanna do. But.. it's a fkin Bullit lol. How many are out there) Plus the special trim is just so unique and I'm always going back to making that my choice. 2.2014 GT500 Manual and modding it(around the same price as everything else listed here and I prefer the front over the new gen front end but the interior just looks so cheap and dated to me. 2.new gen 5.0 and boosting it(I heard the transmissions on these are awful(same tranny as the Bullit, but it has a digital dash as opposed to the 14 GT500/GT350 and I can widebody it without having to do any extra modifications unlike with a 350. Main thing stopping me is I don't like the horse or the steering wheel and would eventually end up changing stuff like suspension, throttle enhancements, etc... which is cause I want an overperforming daily driver(and wanna street race lol)Which would almost put me at the cost of relatively new 350. 3.GT350. Heard great things about the exhaust, I've seen it kill auto hellcats, the snake badges are dope af, the upgrades suspension and higher stock HP over all my other options makes me almost wanna press the button on it... except I've heard bad things about engine problems, gonna have to do way more work to fit a widebody kit, and I'd have to spend $2k on a digital gauge cluster(which im not even sure would work on the 350) I was considering the newer GT500 heavily over everything else until I found out the newer gen is automatic only. I've only ever driven my Jeep JK, lifted and modded etc and I've been riding motorcycles for a minute. So I really have no real experience and don't really know what to expect from any of these cars cause technically i've never raced a "real" car or even gone past the speed limit when I was learning in other people's. I wouldn't know what I'm missing out... if you get what I mean. Anyone who made it this far into this comment and wanna offer their two cents, I'm open for advice/suggestions. They're all about the same price or would be after modifications. So money isn't really the issue for me here. Just making the right decision that I'd be content with longterm lol. Preciate the video too. Trying to understand the 350 as much as possible.
@QueTheChaotic
@QueTheChaotic 2 года назад
There aren't a lot of Bullitts out there. I would go GT500 over the Bullit. In my experience the tranny was fine. In stock form that is. I would consider the Mach 1. Same performance bits of the GT350 and GT500 minus the engine. You get the tremec and you can get the digital cluster. I would say GT350 but in my honest opinion I don't think it should be a daily driver unless you have the space to stretch it's legs often.

Being a gen 1 Voodoo and out of warranty I am obviously concerned about the engine reliability. Seller is saying he's never had annsissue and changes the oil every 6k miles as normal. Thanks for your good video. I'd consider a 2017 or 2018 if the engine was replaced with a Gen 2 engine

even before watching this video, buy the last year of the GT350......its that simple. All the BS was sorted out by then

Si why did they stop production?

@@7Word the GT350 and 350R were always meant to be a limited run. The voodoo engine was not meant for mass production so they could only produce so many a year

2019 is the best model year to own. Gen II engine, more standard features, and it isn't part of the secondary tensioner recall like the '20 350/500. I bought mine knowing I wouldn't daily drive it. Have zero issues with it and my ownership experience has been great so far.

Never seen tons of low milage gt350’s go thru 4 owners. Good luck finding a low milage one now. Carmax has some with 30k miles and higher. Mine is a 2020 and an ABSOLUTE gem. Burns zero oil and makes me smile every time I row thru the gears. My Shelby is a keeper. By the way, let’s not exaggerate the tensioner recall. That was only for one builder, mine was not one of them.

@@johnd3276 look around car gurus. I test drive two with 6k miles each. Didn't buy either after learning that they grenade themselves.

If you can get a 2015 you should as there are only 37 built and you had to be invited to buy one even.
